The thing or things that if you eat, it's going to be a downhill slide into the fat barn for the rest of the day?


I have a couple things that if I indulge just one bite, I can't stop myself. Nilla Cakesters. I told my boyfriend that they taste like happiness. But for 330 (empty) calories, it's just too much.

My others are sugar cookies, peanut brittle (my boss brought in a box and put it in the common food area today...I'm trying so hard to resit!), and french fries.

Ahh, french fries....

OMG potato chips!! - Chex Mix, Goldfish - anything with loads of salt in it - YUM.  Once I start on potato chips you can forget about it - I'm done. 

I'm a salt junkie for sure - and that's just disaster on the diet!

Hot Krispy Cream donuts.  I'm just glad I don't live anywhere near the place. But if someone brings them into the office, it's all over.  I could probably eat half the box in 20 minutes.  They're just so tasty and warm.  MMMMMMM!

Doritos for sure.  I could probably eat the whole bag if you just set me in front of the TV with some Pepsi.  So good!

oh man...i am glad I am not the only one with triggers...chocolate anything, pecan pie, and above all nuts! esp the honey roasted nuts...

Also yoghurt or carob covered raisins, any dried fruit. I cannot have that stuff in the house or I'll demolish the lot in moments.

Resturaunt style hot out of the fryer corn chips with salsa (one of my most favorites) I could eat 3 baskets to myself and not eat dinner and be satisfied with the chips n salsa....add a huge bowl of guacamole and i'm even more satisifed AND LOADED IN CALORIES AND FAT. More then an entire day or two worth. LOve it!!!!!

warm apricot pie or cobbler with vanilla icecream

cheese quesadilla

 

Natural unsalted peanut butter (from the jar)...

Chocolate, even if it is semisweet for baking or whatever kind... organic or not, milk or extra extra dark if it exists around me... is gone in seconds

cookies (oreo or any kind)

blueberries (I know they're not bad, but if you know how much i could eat... they could be bad...)

bagel with butter, or with ham and cheese, or cream cheese or jsut plain bagel

ice cream-any kind, any flavor

nuts, usually eat them natural and unsalted but it doesn't matter because I could eat a lb in one seating, easily

I used to think that Goldfish crackers were a steal calorie wise. 55 for 140 calories isn't bad - I just have to save as many calories as possible for dinner...stupid perfect-body-boyfriend-who-doesn't-need-to-wa tch-what-he-eats.

 

And cake? White or yellow cake with buttercream icing? Oh god...it's the only thing I ever wanted!

i consider those my gateway drugs.

Too many to name:

  • nacho cheese doritos,cheddar & sour cream ruffles or regular ruffles with cottage cheese - can we say fat/sodium overload?
  • my homemade sugar cookies - I would eat an entire batch by myself, that's why i always made two :)
  • Any kind of fried potato item, I don't discriminate
  • sausage biscuits at breakfast - what a great way to start out the day....so tasty though
  • pizza
  • baked brie with compote - sinful
  • entire loaves of crusty bread
  • biscuits and gravy

that's only the beginning. what can I say? I'm a glutton...

 

I have the bad habit of seeming to completly fall off the wagon if I have a bad stressful day at the hosptial and it usually starts with Starburst or another candy I can keep in my pocket while I am working.  Then I get so hungry from being so busy that I end up over eating when I do sit down to eat, usually mexican food, pizza or something like that entices me after long busy days.

Big trigger fo me are margaritas, once I have one I want another then I want queso and chips and then it's just  big downhill slide.

The thing that always gets me is chips and salsa.  I can't stop with one reasonable serving, I have to eat at least half the jar at once, along with a bunch of tortilla chips.

That is the only thing that always gets me.  However, when I fall into binge mode (which tends to happen far too often), any sort of junk becomes binge-fodder.  The junkier, the better - I never binge on trail mix or nuts or even Chex Mix, it's got to be total and utter junk before I'll eat horrifying amounts of it.  I don't even know what triggers me, just that I start eating and keep going and going.

Oh, also, microwave popcorn tends to get me into trouble, so I don't buy it anymore.  It's not as bad as chips and salsa, though.
