The Absolute Worst Song in Existence
I was listening to the radio the other day and, to my chagrin, Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" which has to be one of the worst songs in existence came back on. Man, I hated this song when it first came out. Still hate it. It's just so... annoying!
So tell me.. what do YOU think the absolute worst song in existence is?
kizzi- No offense, but associating that song to corny, annoying, family outing memories just gives me another reason to hate it... ;)
SOULJA BOY.
Anything by him/it.
-twitches violently thinking about how moronic people sound when they sing his stupid songs-

Hey Kae03! Thanks a whole hell of a lot for that one! Now it will be in my ears FOREVER JUST BECAUSE!
Yeah I clicked the link too.
There is nothing more awful than a childless woman in her forties with a lamb chop earworm.
The song truly sucks more than a suck should suck.
Thanks kae :}

Shania Twain, or as I like to call her, Shania "Twang"- "Feel Like a Woman"...
God! I can't stand her stupid lyrics..."honey I'm home", "Give the Dog a bone" , "rub my feet, give me somethin' good to eat"... Sounds like it was written by a 2nd grader!
Hey, it's country, of course it's going to suck.

Betting I hate country more than you which reminds me of one that escaped onto noncountry stations.
That Carrie Underwood Song about the psycho girlfriend. She shouldve done a follow up one on getting arrested, booked and imprisoned.
Sun you can't possibly hate country more than me. It's impossible. :)
Underwood did do a followup song. She got drunk and ended up marrying somebody and she doesn't even know her own last name.
BAH!

Haha.. Anything by Celine Dion I can't stand, but that particular song makes me physically nauseous literally speaking.
Anything by the Bee Gee's, , Elton john, Genesis, Billy Joel, HORRIBLE!
No way -- Sure Bee Gees disco stuff can be anoying but in the 60's they had some great tunes. Elton John's Goodbye yellow brick road is a wonderful album. Billy Joel yea some of his stuff is bad but some is tolerable Now Genesis I have to ask which Genesis are your talking about. The Early Genesis when Peter Gabriel was the lead singer and Mike Rutherford was still in the band was genius!!! The Wind and Wuthering album is great, The Lamb Lies down on Broadway is classic and they have so many other songs that never get air play time because they are so long and many of their old albums told stories. Check out youtube for some of their stuff prior to 1976. Now once it was Phil Collins leading the band yes they suck- went to "pop" for us faithful fans who appreciated the artistic writings of old.

There are some really horrible songs, and I can't pick just one, but the one that drove me the most insane: "Loving You" by Minnie Ripperton.
Between the "la la la la," "dooby dooby doo" and the shriek... ugh!
yep this one is my pick as well!!

Of course, there's Dave Barry's favorite:
"MacArthur Park" by Richard Harris and then (more popularly) Donna Summer.
Then again, Brak did a great play on its lyrics:
Somebody left a cake out in the rain
Oh no!
I was gonna eat that cake
But now it's all wet
And I don't want any!
I agree this Mccarthur park always bugs me and I don't understand why someone leaves a cake in the rain??
Latter day Elton John and Phil Collins really get on my nerves - it's an automatic reflex to change the station if I hear "Something About The Way You Look Tonight" or "You'll Be Here In My Heart."
And there are the requisite remakes of classics that are simply abominations, but there are too many of them to mention.
But what really makes my ears bleed is Garth Brooks singing trying to sing "Shameless."

i can understand the cake being left out if it was a really good party, but i can't understand how it's so traumatic. except maybe for the cleaning up of it.
but i've always suspected it was a metaphor that i refuse to grasp.

Hey There Delilah by The Plain White T's.
Most people I know love it, but I can't stand it.
That song is being played over and over in Hell....
I guess my gym is Hell... I thought eventually they would stop playing it, but not yet.

I'm this same way I think they both have tried to go to "pop" and in the process killed their real talent. When Gabriel left Genesis the whole band started to go for "air time" instead of music. I wish there was some way to bookmark my artists based on years of the tune on my XMRadio - I used to have Genesis bookmarked but it got to be only stuff from the 80's on and I'd not bother to switch it.

Well, to be specific, I don't have a problem with Garth Brooks, just that song. There's something about being a waitress in a pizza joint during the summer, being forced to listen to that song being played on the jukebox 5 times an hour for 10 hours a day by every person that comes in the place who don't even bother to leave a tip after making a mess that would rival a bunch of 5 year olds that kind of soured me on it.
how aboutt..
either avril's girlfriend, orrr;
anything by system of a down!
anything "sung" by a chipmunk.
Edit; and remember kids, the holidays are coming....they are liable to be on some radio station!
