Acai Berry & Colon cleansing >> has anyone any info positive or negative?

Quote  |  Reply

I'm interested in taking Acai Berry to enhance my weight loss program, which is eating well balanced food with a reduced calorie count (1350 suggested/day).  There seems to be a LOT of free information out there on the topic of the effectiveness of using Acai Berry and doing colon cleansing.  I'm interested to know any experience anyone has on the above and if so what products have worked for you or NOT??.  Is it worthwhile or a waste of money???

I just ordered the not-so-free sample of the "Acaiburn" supplement.

I read all sorts of wonderful reviews online, but they were all flooded with advertisements and links to other Acai Berry products, so I'm not exactly sure how legitimate they are.

I logged on to see if the reviews were true AFTER I placed my order, but on other posts the products were boo'd.

I was not brave enough for the colon cleanse they offered me at check out though.

I will keep you posted on my progress (if there is any) once i start my 30 day trial, if you'd like.

Best of luck vrwh!

Back to the crunches! - Jessica

Hi Jessica,

Thanks for your input... I appreciate it.  From what I have been researching, if you want to return it you must call within 14 days of ORDERING, reardless is you have received it or not... and even then there is some issues with some companies before the cost for the one bottle goes on your credit card.

I ordered "Pure Acai Berry" before I read that the Acai Burn seems to be ranked higher but who knows who actually put this on the web either... probably Acai Burn but regardless I tried to cancel the "Pure Acai Berry" that I ordered on line moments before and was told I could not cancel the order until it was recieved which I thought was a crock... regardless I'm going to continue to try and cancel that order and also notify my Visa company as well and see if I can make sure the charge for the bottle does not go through, although I know I'm stuck for the shipping.

I will try the Acai Burn, same as you so we should keep in touch to find out each other's experience with it.  I also have not ordered the colon cleanse since I have had a colenoscopy a couple of years ago and everything is good in that department so I will hold off judgement on that one.

Thanks again and keep in touch with me also regarding your experience with everything. Embarassed

Hi there!

I have been taking Acai Berry supplement now for about a week and i found it works great, i feel more regular, and combined with diet and exercise, i am happy with the result.  My stomack is flatter, and i feel less bloated.

There IS a lot of scam out there when it comes to bying it, but it does not change the fact that it a great product.  I ordered mine on Amazon.com, witch i trust and been using for a long time without problems.  Ebay also sell them.  DONT buy it using those "free" trial things.

Hope this helps!

Florence

Thanks for the great news and good information.  What is the actual name of your product? and what is your cost for a month's supply if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks again

The product that i use is Natrol Acai 500 mg.  It comes in a bottle of 60 caps and you take 2 daily.  I paid 5$ each, (i bought 3), they were on sale because they expire in May 09.  I am real happy with it! Keep me updated if you start using it!

Wow... only $5 a bottle of 60 caps (1 months supply)?  That's fantastic.  The Acai Burn is $58 ish I believe. I don't have mine yet but hopefully soon.

This article is a pretty thorough rundown of the various acai scams out there.  Plus, go through the comments there to see many first-hand accounts of the rip-offs (and links to more).  People have had to cancel credit cards, close bank accounts, etc. to get out of this one.  Best of luck to you!

No reputable health care provider would tell you to take a "colon cleanse" product.  It's just a laxative in herbal form.  Laxatives are an unsafe way to lose weight, and with many of the herbals, your body can become dependent on them if you keep using them.

It's clever marketing- you'll obviously lose weight from the laxative effect.

I don't know much about acai berry.  I bet it's also a laxative effect, the same as if you ate a lot of any berry.

Thank you for this article.  Fortunately (hopefully) I have not ordered from this company.  I did make a mistake on one company order and have phoned several times to consult the cancellation of my order.  At all times they have answered the phone, "Advanced Wellness Research" for the product Pure Acai Berry.  They tell me that I have to receive the trial product before I can cancel but must cancel within 14 days of order.  If I don't get it by then I'm to phone them back and cancel... long story short I kicked up quite a reaction to all this bunk and threatened them etc etc.  They have now cancelled all further shipments but I still have to cancel the trial product when I get it.  I feel confident that I will get them to cancel it.  There is always someone who answers the phone and I think I will be ok.  The product that I do want is Acai Burn which seems to be the better product based on some AcaiDietStudies.com (probably owned by AcaiBurn lol) but regardless I will post my whole experience for anyone who may be interested along with my results

Thanks again, much appreciated.

Thanks ... I've already decided that I'm not going to do the colon cleanse.  I agree it's all pretty scammy.
