acai berry
Has anyone else tried the free trial of acai berry pills? It didn't work for me. I actually gained weight because I quit counting calories. I figure that if any diet pills are worth taking long-term you should be able to eat whatever you want so I never diet while taking them. Needless to say, I've found the only thing that works for me is exercise and counting calories.
Yeah, my mother knows how hard I work and sent me an email about them. I just replied to her "what happens when you stop taking the pills?" Everything is always in conjunction with exercise and diet so why spend the money or waist the time when your gonna be doing the same thing anyways?
Most fad diets or exercise programs also come with an eating plan that they suggest....if you followed the eating plan, you'd essentially be counting calories.
usually supplements contribute only about 10% of the total weight loss that an individual will experience while on a plan. They might help slightly with fat loss due to some of the compounds in the product, but nutrition is by far the most important part to any health or weight loss program, even over exercise. If you dont eat well, it will reflect and you will not see the results that you may hope to see.
So if you expect to see any of the products yo ubuy working, you would have to compare the results you see with it compared to your usual diet and exercise plan, rather than expecting the product to substitute for eating what you want and then show results on top of that.
hope that helps!

I never heard of the pills but I did try a energy bar made with acai berries. MMMM, nom nom nom nom!
Eat them for flavor, not for magical weight loss.
I really can't see why a pill made of acai berries would make you magically lose weight. That said, they are tasty and nutritious! Why take pills when you can have juice or blend some puree into a smoothie? It's delicious, kind of like blackberries but richer and almost chocolatey. Mmmm!
Sambazon is my favorite brand, by the way. They seem like a pretty responsible company, and their prices are reasonable.
I worked in a health food store with people who knew everything about the acai berry. It is a berry, its a great antioxidant but thats about it, since there is no harm to the berry, companies can say it helps people lose weight because theres no proof that it does or it doesn't. just stick to a healthy diet and exercise
Acai berries are the new diet craze but entirely misunderstood. They have a unique taste and are full of antioxidants and other good for you things...but they aren't linked to increased weight loss (per research). They're about as effective as the blueberry or pomegranate. They're good for you, but should be balanced with other healthy foods.
Now, the Acai pills. Um. Sprinkle some acai dust on snake oil and call it a weight loss pill.
Added: Acai sorbet is awesome!
I promise you I thought the "pills", not pills by the way, were grape sweet tarts! These internet promotions give off strong signals of a scam. If you want to try them I would recommend your local health food store. You buy it, and they will not charge you next month for more. I thought they were about as effective as a sweet tart, which is abut what I deserved for being so gullible.
