Acai Berry
I've read a lot about the Brazilian Acai berry.
Has anyone here tried it in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise?
Did you get results? Or is it all hype?
Wow.... lots of people wanting to know more about Acai Berry this past week. What gives????
There are two current threads on Acai Berry and a ton more that you can find by searing the forums. You might find something helpful in one of them. I'd say that if you're also doing a 'healthy diet', then you won't need this type of supplement. It might help decrease your appetite if you use the freeze-dried version, but from what they are telling us, the minimal amount of weight lost because of a supplement, doesn't justify the cost.

If you are thinking of the supplement pills... DO NOT GET THEM ONLINE, NOT EVEN IN A "FREE TRIAL".
It's a scam that will end up charging your bank account $75 approx 15 days after you receive the pills, more pills will arrive about 10 days later and that cycle will repeat each month until you cancel (and commonly, you have to call and cancel the order and the bank charges several times before it takes).
BTW THE WEIGHT LOSS CLAIMS ARE ALSO BOGUS.
Berries and juice from the store may contain more antioxidents than some other fruits and so is an anti-oxident boost if you need one. But most regular fruit / vitamin supplements would do similar and cost less.
(Edited for spelling)
I personally think Acai berry is a current health fad. I don't think the berries are bad for you but I know they are not magic. I wouldn't waste my money.
Thanks for the info.
I was on vacation and gained more than a few pounds ... since I just got back I missed the Acai berry threads.
I appreciate learning that I don't have to waste my time or money on this supplement. Thanks again.
forget it.
using a supplement to help yourself not eat is essentially starving yourself. We all know the dangers of that. Metabolism crashes and you'll gain more again. These probably only make people feel like they have energy because (if i've read up correctly...) alot of supplements also contain caffeine. If you really need the boost I suggest plain green tea, or plain black coffee.
I tried it. Didn't feel a thing. I might as well have been swallowing capsules filled with air. ![]()
