currently working on updates, so please be understanding.

added only those how said they wanted to be included and updated weights.

Slimming Mini - rules.  for every 15 minutes of workout is 3 points

for every 8 oz of water is 2 points, and every pound lost is 1 point.

I think that your calories are a little low, seriously I find that eating a little more means more weight loss! Sounds crazy, but it's true... If you are not exercising then 1200 might be alright... You do need to exercise though - the pool is a great idea, and anything you do is helping, even if you can only manage 10 minutes... take it at your OWN pace! Remember that you need to take care of your body for it to take care of you.

I would suggest going to a doctor and asking them what kind of exercise you could do. I'm unsure of the system in America, but here in the UK doctors will suggest things, and maybe put you on to a specialist free of charge.

Good luck with it, even if it's a slow process, don't let it get you down!

I want to thank you so much for that support! Much needed and very much appreciated.  Thank you so much.

I did ask my doctor and my doctor was at a loss at what to tell me to do.  The doctor beleives 800-1200 calories per day and the pool are great.  I worry about winter and when I cannot get to the pool (or even the YMCA ).  Regardless, I will try even floor excercises, stretching, whatever it takes to get my heart pumping and any part of my body moving.

Again, thank you so much!  It's just that "boost" I needed!
).
Yes, thanks Coco for all your hard work it is most appreciated. And my opinion about the prize is that you should just go for it.

Fitnessfreak, about your water issue, you said you are struggling to drink more than 8 glasses a day. Well I think that's probably plenty. But the way I do it (I normally consume no less than 3L which is 12 glasses) is I drink out of a 1L bottle and I refill it twice during the day. That way it actually doesn't seem like so much (12 glasses seems so much more to me than 3L in 1L increments for some reason). Anyway, try it!
Hows everyone doing!

I'm finally back up to working out 5-6 days a week! I just started back to school and it took me a few weeks to adjust my schedule.

My friend just bought a scale that measures body fat and its nice to track progress that way. Though my weights down, my fat isnt. My body fat is 31%, which is pretty high for my weight. So to change this I have increased my weight training. My goal is 20%.

Anyone else track their body fat?
I also have one of those scales but think it's a load of BS. My feet are really small and actually don't even span the metal plate well enough so the readings are all over the place.

hello all, I have updated the points but I have a few dates missing for a couple people.

I want you guys to know that I've enjoyed the challenge and it has encouraged me to workout more, which is hard because I work so many hours.

I would also like to invite all of the ladies to join the minis for july.

I will have a separate thread for the mini challenges so it will be easier to keep track of.

lrt is in the lead for the minis as of tonight and I would like to extend a ^5 to her for all of her hard work.

The newest twist for the July minis is going to be daily challenges.

not really exercise related but positive related. too much negative in a day so we will strive for postitive vibes here.  you will received bonus points for doing the positive things.... got you guys thinking now, don't I ...lol...
I am motivated overall but feeling down tonight. I sent you my points Coco ... it's the last stretch in June!
Hey All!

It's the final push to the end and I'm finally back to my regular workout routine. I had a good 7 mile run last night - although I think I need to buy new shoes. My current ones are great for shorter distances (anything less than 5 miles), but at the longer ones, my big toe tends to feel a little crowded. I now have a bruised toe (which, actually, I've had for about 2 weeks now) and I just keep making it worse by continuing to run in my shoes. The nail is starting to lift....Ew Gross!!!

I've been struggling to get to the 10 mile mark this month....for some reason, I've hit this mental wall and can't seem to get past 7 or 8 miles.....I've got 5 more days to get it done!!!!

I've scheduled a run with my hubby and his running buddy this weekend - and we're going to go the full 10. I'm excited and a bit nervous. I'm hoping that running outdoors and running with two experienced runners (who love to recount and re-enact scenes from Seinfeld when they run) will help me take my mind off time and distance and finally get over the mental/physical hump.....

Wish me luck!!

I am 5' ft , 125 lbs female.Wanna join in...though not quite clear about what are the prerequisites for being part of "accountability thread" .Can someone please help me with understanding it...I wish to lose 15 lbs..

Luv.

I just wanted to give a thanks and a good luck to all the June slimming minis. I know that I didn't post points that often but I felt like that would be somewhat of a motivator for doing a little extra.

Also I have expanded the minis to include anyone how would like to join in July and to make it easier there is a new thread.

Please be sure to get your weigh to me Tomorrow and I will post the winner in the afternoon.

Also if you are doing th July minis than send a pm to me tomorrow as well.

coco
Cocowan, I won't be able to give you my weight tomorrow. Can we delay final results until Monday as I am out of town with no internet access tomorrow?????

How can I make walking fun?

You have to find a way to make exercise fun or else you won't do it. If you walk indoors on a treadmill, I recommend moving outdoors into the fresh air... Read more
