Slimming Mini - rules. for every 15 minutes of workout is 3 points
for every 8 oz of water is 2 points, and every pound lost is 1 point.
weighin at the beginning and end of the month. so pounds lost points will be added at the end.

You rock, thanks. Looking forward to the July mini challenge as the end of June has been really tough for me to stick to exercise and diet. I need to start over as they say. Thanks again!
I just posted my results to Cocowan so hopefully we will find out the final June Slimming Mini results soon.
But more importantly, and on a personal level, how did everyone do with their diets and exercise plans in June?
Although my weightloss numbers went great (so much better than May b/c I upped my workouts!!) I ran into some difficulties maintaining my recommended calorie intake which has made things super tough (damn cravings). I look forward to doing more rigorous exercise in June so I can make my weight appear nicer (more toned, lower fat percentage etc).
In any case, I am so thankful to Cocowan and CC for making such a great site.

June Minis weren't as successful as I had hoped; I actually gained 1 lb, but June's over and I'm focusing on July now! My starting weight on July 1 is 197 lbs!!! :-o
don't be discouraged nev2179. I am hoping that a few little changes to the July minis will help in our efforts to be more healthy and weigh less
I didn't lose a ton of weight in June - but didn't expect to. It generally been taking me 4 to 5 months for every 10 lbs I lose...and the loss tends to come in spurts. Since I finally hurtled from the 140s into the 130s in May, I didn't expect a lot of losses in June...I actually expected my weight to fluctuate a lot more than it did.
As far as exercise goes...I totally kicked butt!! I shaved another 15 seconds off my 5K time.....fastest time is now 28:28. I also reached a distance milestone - 10 miles of running, non-stop, on the treadmill. I've definitely got the exercise thing under control - it's totally become routine/habit to hit the gym at least 5 days a week.
My focus for July will be on shaving a few more seconds off my 5K time and seeing if I can get a few more 10 milers in (before reaching for the next milestone - 11 miles).

Im pretty sure I would be alot closer to my goal weight if I could get my diet under control. On the plus side, since I workout so much, its nice to know I can eat what I want and not gain weight!

whoa... I shocked myself with this number! even though I don't think much has happened on the weight loss front (especially now that I'm on vacation with my sister, niece, and nephew... have probably gained back the little I lost...), I can tell that I've gotten stronger over the last few weeks
thanks again to Coco for creating this challenge and keeping up with our progress reports -- it's really helpful to see those points accumulate as a reminder of the good progress we have made!

You are all so lucky being this height i am under 4'10 and i find it so hard losing the weight.When i was younger i didnt just have to contend with people saying about my height but also my weight.I was called some really nasty names like oompa loompa and a weeble.I also find it get harder has we get older.I am now 4'10 but i have started losing abit of my height has we all shrink.My doctor keeps a check on me with my weight and says i may shrink to be a height of 4'9 if i am lucky so i have been exercising and doing some stretching i cant afford to shrink now has it would look worse.
Awww...I'm 4'11 sometimes 5'0" =). I do find it hard to lose the weight...but I'm glad there is a support group for us who are on the "petite" side. I'm currently 142, wanting to get down to 110. Oh, and I'm 19...(20 in november).
