Quote  |  Reply
If your working on this with me, post your info here. If you're interested in what this is about look at "4-11 to 5-2 weight loss is harder for us shorter folks"

let's gear up to get the weight off and keep it off.

currently working on updates, so please be understanding.

added only those how said they wanted to be included and updated weights.

Slimming Mini - rules.  for every 15 minutes of workout is 3 points

for every 8 oz of water is 2 points, and every pound lost is 1 point.

weighin at the beginning and end of the month.  so pounds lost points will be added at the end.

post your workouts and water intake everyday or every other day to make it easy to keep track of points.

Hello,

I am 5'2" currently 139 started "new life" in January with the weight of 157.  I have been on CC for about a month now.   My husband has joined "the band wagon" with me so to speak and we have changed our eating habits drastically.
cocowan, could you please add me too?

also, i am pretty handy with a spreadsheet ... do you need some help with keeping the weight stats going?
Cocowan:  Glad you got the weigh in thing down okay.  if you need help keeping track fo it or anything, let me know.
Wish me luck everyone! I have to spend all day with my family! The good thing is that my mom is taking me shopping for a late easter present for new clothes because last year I was a XL and now Im a medium, the bad news is that they drive me nuts!
Im going to the gym afterwards and my goal is to do 45min on the elliptical and do the full circuit training set! Ill post my weight in the morning, thanks for everything cocowan, let me know if you need any help!

Going to a jazz fest today. I had a up and dowm week and didn't get to exercise every day. I work 14 hour days and fitting it in is hard. I think I will need to get up at 0455am to do the treadmilll every morning before work. Only 1/2 lb this week 178.5, however I learned a lot about my problem areas in my llife. I am about to purchase a audio I heard about " The Secret." It is about famous people and their secret. It promots positive thinking and realizing your goal.    Just wanted to share.      :) have a great week

hello all! today I'm back up a pound. I've got to get off this yo-yo. needing encouragement, here. I will have to be more focused on the workouts during the week
Hello.  I've just joined this site and I'd like to join this discussion.

I am 5'1  (I swear they measured me wrong, I used to be 5'2)

I weigh 204 (ugh!), goal weight is 132 (for now).  I'm going to try to stick to 1200 calories a day and walk daily, as well as work out with an exercise video I have.

What do the S, C & T stand for?  I think start weight, current weight and total loss so far?
Here is my attempt at encouragement cocowan.  At work we have been doing a biggest loser competition for about a year in 12-week blocks.  I won once ($100).  The other people that have won did it by a landslide by dropping 3-5lbs a week!  I only lose 1-2lbs a week and some weeks I would stay the same or gain a pound.  So my weight loss has been the slowest.  The encouraging thing about this is that I?m the only one who has maintained my weight.  Everyone else who lost weight rapidly has put most of it back on.  The moral of this story is losing weight the right way, though slower, gives you a better chance of keeping it off because you not killing yourself to get smaller and your making changes you can maintain for the rest of your life!  Hope this helps.
I am down a half pound to 188, which is really more than that since I gained so much over the Easter holidays!  But, I am happy that the scale is going back down.  I was stuck between 189-190 for over a month, so anything below that is going to make me incredibly happy!

Oh, and hhollyhal, I loved your story!  I think it is great encouragement!
I posted my weight in the other thread too but Im down a pound to 136!

sweetcarolyn83, Excellent!!!! love to read the positive results, it's what keeps me motivated
Hello everyone. I would love if I could join this thread! It's perfect for me!!

Cocowan- I already sent you a private message asking if I could join...

My name is Amanda, I am 22 from Maryland, USA.

My current weight is 163, my lowest being 115. I am also 5'0". This is the highest weight I have EVER been, and I hate it... I've joined Gold's gym, and have been going there approx 3 times per week... I need to go more like 5 days a week, but sometimes work is a killer!!

I hope you all will accept me here, as I feel we are all in the same boat! although many of your boats are afloat, while mine seems to be sinking!! ahh!

Thanks! :)

to all those who weigh in on a day other than Sunday, I will update as I get your info. don't think you have to just do this on Sunday. I only picked that day for me.  I will update accordingly. if you weigh everyday then I will update everyday.

thanks all.
coco:  I weigh in on Monday's.  Here is my info:

last week        ;  &n bsp;     142.4

this week        ;  &n bsp;     140.9

not a huge deficit, better than gaining!!!

been stuck for quite awhile here

did you check out what folks are doing to get past a plateu?
coco - yes I have.  I have a hard time getting to the calorie alottment for the day as it was, upping it 100 calories has really been difficult.  I also was advised to up my protein, increase the level on elipitical and do more strength training.  Partly my fault, having a hard time getting motivated to work out still after vacation.  but I have a challenge to lose 10 pounds by Memorial day - so hopefully that will help.
