Acorn Squash Recipe with Granny Smith Apples Recipe

Delicious squash with apples.

Ingredients
2 squash acorn
1 boiling water
2 medium apples (tart)
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 serving Agave Nectar
1/2 tsp salt
Directions
  1. Wash squashes and halve lengthwise; scoop out seeds and fibers. Put halved squashes into baking dish, cut side down, and add about 1/2 inch of boiling water to the dish. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.

  2. While acorn squashes are baking, prepare apple stuffing. Peel, core, and dice apples. Mix apples with 1/4 cup melted butter and agave nectar. Turn acorn squash halves cut side up and brush with melted butter then sprinkle with salt.

  3. Fill each acorn squash half with apple and agave mixture. Cover pan with aluminum foil and continue baking at 400° for 30 minutes longer, until squash and apples are tender.
