Oooh, I've recently turned 20... can I play?
All freakin day! Yes. :) Of course!
Hey girly, I'm in! Although I can't really chat right now, time to go to salsa class.
Yay! :D
How long have you been taking salsa classes? I started taking a ballroom dancing class but then quit because I got so frustrated.. my partner was awesome though if that means anything, haha. So we did the east coast swing and we were just about to move onto salsa dancing when I had to leave. I felt so sweaty and bad about my awful coordination... maybe I'll sign-up for it again soon, it's definitely a work-out and fun once you get it right. (Although I imagine it's even more fun if you can get a friend to go with you). Have fun!

Almost 23 here. Swing dancing is fun! :) If you liked east coast, you should try lindy. That gets your heart pumpin'. I need to get back into that. The girl-to-guy ratio isn't in our favor though. Guess I'll just have to learn to lead better!
I'd LOVE to be able to learn how to dance, but I think theres people that can dance and people that just can't... I think I must be the latter. Although I wouldnt mind giving belly dancing a go, thats not too footish.
I'm 21. Do I get in? (I'm married, but that doesn't make me old.)
Hey, I'll be 18 soon... do I count? :-) My goal is to lost weight before I head off to college. I want to lose 35 pounds (well, 33 pounds now!) by next August, but preferrably by graduation (aka: summertime=swimsuit time). :-P Anyway, I'd love to chat it up with any of you ladies, anytime. Just add me, check out my myspace (it's under my website on my profile), leave me a message.

I love lindy! I go to UC Berkeley and at Sproul (the front of the
university) they do/dance/have lindy every Saturday morning and it's so
spirit-lifting to watch... I definitely want to build up to that. :)
One dance step at a time, hah.
skinnieminnie- I've started to get into belly dancing and it's definitely an ab worker... I highly recommend it!
courtbarb- of course!! how's being married by the way?

Hey delve_deeper--I remember posting on a topic you started about
wanting to lose that weight before college and I know exactly how you
feel... and you know what? You can do it and I'm so glad you're doing
it the healthy way. (Welcome, btw!)
I'm 21 =) and it seems like you and I have about the same goals pearllilee.
Wow it does look that way, huh? :) I'm definitely jacking that
measurement goal table you have and the calculation thing you're using
if that's okay.. :D
No problem =) I just bought pear juice today too... There! Another coicidence haha
Haha, nice! And that sounds really good too, btw... speaking of pear juice, I was recently considering going on a juice diet and then some article I read on this website cautioned that the calories in beverages are actually worth more than the calories in actual foods because the body has to work and therefore burn calories to break down the foods but the juices are pretty much broken down to begin with... like white bread, hah. But yeah, I could still go for some pear juice. :)
I'm 21....
Not to be totally off topic, but holy crap, SkinnieMinnie you are gorgeous!

So since you had the idea... what's this group going to be about? Did you think of stuff for us to do, or is it just to chat, or more like a roll call?
yay..i'm 19... woo...no offense to the older members..but its nice to find people my age :)
what are your guys weights and goals? im 5'7, 150...goal is 125 to 130...

I thought of a few things just looking around at the other topics posted here at the forum, like for example we could do a version of the Biggest Loser, too.. which would account for how much we're losing each week (hopefully 1-2lbs in a healthy way). And then maybe we could do the same thing for hours of excercise a week which I'm suggesting myself because I definitely need some motivation when it comes to that... and basically just random chatting with each other and hopefully being able to build up a small sub-community of our own semi-generation. I'm really hoping this can be at least one place where we can all come together to get and give support to one another since I don't know about you, but I've never needed so much back-up than at this age I'm at now. I don't know if it's just low self-esteem or what. Anyway, whatever you guys want to do is totally awesome and supported all the way. :) I'm going to keep thinking too, though.. I want this to be fun for all of us. :)
wetdogsmell (nice name!)- I hella agree with you... she's effing gorgeous. Especially her nose but maybe that's just me.. I have this thing with noses..

lmcminn... it is nice to talk to people our age, isn't it??
I'm 5'4" and 121lbs.. my goal is 110lbs (I come from a long line of small frames with big butts, hehe). So you've only got like 20-25lbs to lose.. no problem, dude. This is going to be a piece of cake. :)

Oh oh oh!! Something else random but I found this:
My Virtual Model (*clicky clicky*) where you can make a virtual model of yourself at different weights and see what you'd look like.. that's according to them though because when I tried it myself it came out *nothing* like I look now (because it didn't add the "chunk" if you know what I mean) and then I guess it the model can't lose anymore weight after a certain point.. HOWEVER, I did find THIS (*clicky*) which I'd actually recommend more than the other. I'm not sure if that link goes directly to it or if you have to search for it on the sidebar of the site it's a part of, but I'm pretty sure it should take you straight there... I'll check.
