Darling, the eat meter is fabulous!

Copy and paste that (I'm in Firefox and can't use the linky thing... I wonder if regular html works in these things...)

Anyway, you download that and it's part of calorie-count.com so when you enter in food in your food log, the bar will automatically go up and change colors, letting you know you can eat more or that you should start slowing down. It's kind of cool :)

It doesn't work in Opera though :( and I couldn't put it on ie, my mother uses ie too!! (she hasn't figured out opera yet and the whole tabs thing LOL)

the eatmeter comes with the calorie count tool bar. Its pretty cool but it can drive you nuts. Sometimes you're 20cals under your allowance and its already all red and scary o_O

Don't worry pear we all have bad days...

And the healthy eating... % we all have different goals when it comes to that. I actually like what lfae said about counting the servings of veggies and fruits, and water as well! All we'd have to do is find a standard for the servings. fruit can be a piece of fruit for the larger and 1/2 cup for berries and such... maybe veggies it can be 1/2 cup as well.
Aw, that's the sucks, lfae.. Opera? I've never heard of it.. is it better than IE?

Yeah, luna, but this one was *really* bad.. I was doing so good. I feel like my body starts craving those kinds of carbs or something.. not sure. Or maybe it's the salt?

True, we all do have different goals when it comes to what we're putting in our bodies which in turn makes counting foods and calories really difficult to accomplish in this challenge setting..

I had a bad, bad day on Sunday if it makes you feel better. It included Red Lobster all you can eat shrimp, and cold stone for dessert o_O

I adore Opera! It's pretty much the same as ie I guess but it has tabs, which my mother can't figure out, so I can leave myself logged in on CC and livejournal and such and she'll never know :p

And I just caved and downloaded firefox because I wanted the eat-meter, dammit ;) Cute little green bar! At least it's not red yet!

Oh and how fabulous is this, I gave my dog a little walk today and we went past a playground, which was deserted (it being school hours) so I couldn't resist...poor puppy isn't a fan of the slide, even in my lap! Anyway, it was a real adventure playground and one thing it had was a near vertical wall, with a chain down the centre, so you can walk up the wall, using the chain...I could SEE the muscles in my arms working!! I know where I'll be detouring from now on :p

Hey ladies (I think everyone is a lady here, if not---hello fellows too)
It's 6:30am and I'm starting my day. I just wanted to say have a great day. I will most likely be posting in the morning a lot because that is when I will have the time. I pretty busy but I will try to keep up with all of the happenings of this group because it seems really fun and motivating. Have a great, happy & healthy day everyone!

lfae.. orange is not bad at all! If you get near your allowance, you actually get the red. Orange is when you still have a bit to go. See that's what I was talking about the evil of the eat meter. The green looks so much better, but for you to keep it green, you are eating way less than what you have decided you should eat a day. Bad choice of colors I'd say.

I was thinking...
I think that we should get a point for maintenance as well...because I know for myself, some weeks are a struggle just to not gain weight! haha....what do you guys think?
(also this way if anyone who is here just to maintain and not necessarily to lose weight can play as well)
maryefairy- totally! I was hella thinking the same thing since I know that I personally am content just knowing I didn't gain any weight at my current status. 1 point for maintenance! Oh and you have a great day, too, gorgeous. :D

lunamagae- the colors are very intimidating, I'll agree to that. Yesterday was my first time using it so it was pretty much green and then BLAM, red. I didn't really get to see the inbetween stages... might have to suggest they do some different colors or at different times or just no colors at all. Hm.

lfae- I wish we had something like that over here! The only place you can really go to get a good workout or *anything* remote is the gym (which I hate because I hate thinking that people are judging my body when in fact I know they're so concerned with their own bodies they don't have time for mine..). Which is why I don't run outside where people are... haha.. I suck in that respect. Does anyone feel that way, too?

oobolensky- you're so in, dahling. And thanks for the compliment, you're a stunner too! I was looking at your two pictures and you look ::a TON:: like one of my friends over here in California. I would think you were her if you didn't live in.. Tennessee?
Official Rules

  1. Keep yourself healthy by not losing excess amounts of weight per week; a healthy weightloss goal is 1.5lbs per week. Anything you lose over this amount will not be credited with points.
  2. You and your team gather 5 points for every half pound you lose and if you maintain your weight, you and your team will gain 1 point.
  3. You and your team will win 1 point for every hour of exercise you do per week. Your team will also win an extra 10 points if you are the person who's worked out the most in the week. (Don't die)
  4. Weigh-ins and official reportings of your time spent working out are due here every Friday (or as soon as you are able to report).
  5. Have fun and get/stay healthy!!
(I'm posting these right here and not in the top section of the forum so that you don't have to scroll down so far..)
I think I'm getting overly excited about this Challenge thing, haha. I'm all dreaming about it at night... I kid, I kid. Anyway, I hope this is something we can all really enjoy and perhaps even find it helps us lose weight and stay healthy.

So I was lying here and thinking about pilates... have any of you ever really gotten into all that? We have a dvd here at home but it's pretty much got the most annoying host and music in the whole world. I get in a bad mood just opening the dvd case...
okay, so this is working already... i actually got slightly excited about working out today. 
I need to change my weight... as embarassing as it is. I hadn't weighed myself in a month but I did today at the gym (after having not gone for a week)... and I'm up to 274 I think. Eep. I'm hoping some of that is water weight because my eating habits haven't really changed much. But I've gotta be honest if I'm gonna do this right...
