Are there any other active girls out there who struggle with eating right...ruining excericise with junk food, under/overestimating amount if calories burned, PROTEIN!!, balance between what you should eat back from phisical activity .and what to eat to lose weight, etc. ...
i find the above site a pretty nifty resource for these things... especially since a while back i was quite confused over how much protein i ought to be consuming based on my activity level. i was actually quite surprised that i only needed a very small percentage of protein in my diet, reason being the bulk of my exercise is actually cardio, not strength training... are you intending to have a club support group for people struggling with these problems?
ah i definately feel your pain! with 2-3 hours of tennis practice mon-fri and my burn usually from 2600-3000 a day, i cant seem to find a balance of how much to eat to keep the deficit from getting to large or squeezing too small
ive found that keeping a food journal which i can write in all day ( as opposed to not being able to log on to here more than twice a day) helps me to keep on track :D
i know exactly what you mean, during cross country/basketball/track season.. i am constantly running/ lifting weights. and i will come home after not eating very much through out the day and binge during dinner. ... or i will come home late at night and have a huge snack. i really need to stop.
but things will hopefully get better now that i am concious of what i am doing.
ummmmm. YEAH! I have volleyball practice for 3 hours sometimes 4 and when i get home i normally run a mile and a half or so. Then what i normally do is either binge on carbs or eat chocolate! Whichever one i see first. I eat a lot of protein, sure, but i really need a balance of carbs, protein, and fats.
I have tennis practice at least 3 hours a day, and some times run four or five miles. It's so hard trying to eat enough sometimes...and then on days with no practice...yeah different story...Oh Yeah carbs and chocolate, that's me.
