activity level

I'm a student and spend alot of my time on my bum studying. But I do find myself moving around during the day and I go to the gym 3-4 times a week for 30-60 minutes on the ellipticle. So I was wondering If I would be considered lightly active or sedentary?  And calories I keep getting from 16-1900 because I'm not sure what activity level I should be and I just want to keep my weight stable and not under or over eat.

Light.  However, a brisk 20 minute walk each day will be more beneficial to your overall health and weight-control than sporadic gym sessions alone.  So try to take a break from studying every day, go for a brisk walk in the sunshine/rain and 'sharpen the saw'.... it'll do you good physically and mentally.

Okay thanks so much! I was worried that I would be consuming too many calories and gain weight, I'm 5'7 weigh 123-124 lbs and decided that 1800 calories would be good. Or is that too much?
