Acupuncture worked for me
I was diagnosed with TMA migraines about 15 months ago. Symptoms were stroke like and was hospitalized two days for testing. Doctor prescribed Depakote for the migraines. After 11 months I was still having daily problems but not as severe.
Finally talked to a friend who had migraines in Med School. Migraines almost forced her out of Med School. She did acupuncture and it worked.
Based on her story I gave it a try and have not had a headache for 4 months. I am also not using the medication anymore.
Hope this helps somebody out there, I was very frustrated for over a year.
That's very cool. I tried acupuncture for my migraines and it didn't help at all. Stopping gluten was the thing that did it for me. It seems there is no one-size-fits-all solution for migraines, which is what makes them so damned difficult to treat. Keep us posted on your progress. I'd like to know if acupuncture is a permanent fix or if you have to redo it periodically.
