How to add friends?

A friend and I are getting together to finally get rid of these unwanted pounds.  I've been using Calorie Count for a while now but really only to track calories.  I discovered a friend option on here to add friends, but ummm, HOW!?!  When I click the one link in the add friends, it makes me go through Facebook.  I don't want this splashed all over Facebook.  Is there a way to just have CC friends and if so, please, tell me how.     Thanks!

***I see you can find someone and then add them once you are on their profile.  So I guess as an update to this, how can you find someone on here to add them?***

I'm wondering the same thing. My boyfriend and I decided to use this together but I only see a facebook option to find friends. I REALLY don't want this all over my facebook. I cant find my boyfriend because I do not see any other way to search for him besides the facebook app. I realize that this venture with facebook is a big deal for this service, but I don't see the appeal in adding my friends from facebook on here. Please advise.

I so know how you feel about Facebook!  LOL.  I had my friend go to this post and add me from there.  So maybe your boyfriend can do the same.  Then once he adds you, you can add him.  Gosh, there has to be an easier way!

Great idea! I have to say, it sort of turns me off to this whole program having this facebook app pushed on me. Glad to hear you met up with your friend without having to go through fb to do it.

yes, I was wondering this as well. I dont want to do the facebook route, but the friends options are non-existent (aside from facebook). I just want to put in my husband's username and add him as a friend. I guess he has to find my posting and add me, or I need to add him (or anyone) from their posts???? So, in order to hook up with friends, you need to post in the forum, and they do too... Kinda annoying!
