I guess I'm just curious if anyone has taken it, and any thoughts you might have on it.
Ritalin is still around, just not as popular as it used to be.
Nicole richie looks like a piece of winterfresh with heels.
i have add. my parents finally put me on it my junior year of high school after years of bad grades. it's hard to detect if you're not hyper (adhd). it did help me focus, i got better grades, and i did lose some weight, but when my husband and i got prego at age 25, i had to go off of it. after years of being on it, since i've stopped it, i've put on about 75 pounds. this might be some helpful info to all of you who want to take it for weight loss. as far as adderall being like meth.....this is only true to the extend of helping you focus and losing some weight. it doesn't have the same ingredients in it as meth; & it doesn't make you overly perinoid; it doesn't make you pick the hell out of your skin; it doesn't have most of the other nasty side affects of meth. also, now that i'm off of it, my brain is all over the map....even worse than before. but i also think it is a very necessary drug for those who REALLY NEED IT. what really upsets me is when people take it who don't really need it (for weight loss, or to get through school and still be able to party.) there are more and more people taking it to abuse it and it's making doctors more reluctant to rx it to those people who really are in need of it.

Considering Nicole Richie's slim down, I think it could be a real possibility that some drug abuse is going on in Hollywood...
Drug Abuse? in Hollywood?... gasp... it can't be!!!
In other news, I think it could be a real possibility that water is wet.
Tons of kids bought and sold Adderall at my highschool. One of my friends was very against it, and she wrote a paper about how bad it is.
Then she took some so she could stay up and finish the paper the night before it was due.
I have ADHD, but i take a new-er type of medication, called concerta. & it does make me lose weight, but just like 3-5, pounds. I used to be like 115lbs since i am back on my concerta i am back a 110, but i do eat, just not lunch! But after a while i do get used to it and i eat usuall again.
-& also it helps so much, i went from a D average, to a B average :D
My boyfriend was prescribed concerta for "ADD". Such bullsh*t - the guy is a genius, just didn't like to concentrate on school, he was a musician and wanted to play piano and write symphonies again. He decided himself he wasn't going to take it (at 17 years old) and his grades stayed the same. Once his mom noticed he wasn't taking it and made him take the pill. He was so moody and angry and couldn't eat. Plus he wasn't as creative.
I really disagree with that kind of medication - I don't think ADD really exists as a "disease". I think some people just have a harder time concentrating.
It's finals week here at college and I know a bunch of people who took adderal. They got a lot done and couldn't eat for a couple days. Go them. I studied and went to the gym for a couple days - I think I'm better in the long run.
Why do I get bad cramps after I eat?
Suspect lactose intolerance when abdominal cramps are a problem, especially after breakfast when milk products are consumed. Lactose... Read more
