Addicted to blueberries and spinach...
This is a good thing - right?
Like I eat a pot of blueberries and a bag of spinach a day - not every day - but perhaps more than I should in one serving. lol
They're both good choices and I don't think anyone ever died eating either... unless they choked on a blueberry, of course. It's good to have favourite foods but try not to eat things 'ad nauseam'. Plenty of other good things out there to choose from as well..... a varied diet is always the best sort.
Yummers! I love both of those. Those are both very nutritious and everyone should eat more of them. I just find that blueberries can get expensive and you have them often. Chow down but remember that it all still counts towards your calorie count for the day.
Well there are far worse things to be addicted too. Blueberries and spinach are both excellent for you in many ways. Blueberries are full of antioxidants that help to fight against free radicals in your body. Also good for eye sight, neurological disorders/health and urinary/bladder health. Full of vitamins. Spinach is rich in iron, vitamin A and vitamin K among others. I would not go overboard and make sure you are getting enough other fruits and veggies. Different colored peppers, dark leafy greens, apples, oranges, grapes and grape fruit, bananas, kiwi, squash, tomatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes. Just mix it up and get variety.
Maybe make a spinach salad and add some other veggies and make a blueberry fruit salad and add other fruits.
I had a spinach salad just now that I put oranges, raspberries, apples and a few pecans in. It was delicious...now I just wish I had some blueberries to add!
Some one once told me to "eat all the colors" to make sure you get everything you need. Since she was 95 and still walked a mile a day and did all her own housework, I listened to her. She did live to see her 100th birthday and died quietly in her sleep, never having been sick a day in her life.
