addicted to junk food

I'm watching montel and there was this girl who ate only junk food. she would eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner and she had lost 25 lbs. She's only 100 lbs but she has 20 cavities, rhemotoid athritis and is borderline diabetic. She only ate junk because she was afraid she would get fat.

I think this really shows how many different types of eating disorders are there and it is really interesting

My best friend is really really thin, but her diet consists mostly of junk like candy, soda, and sugary coffee drinks with some McDonald's here and there. I have always thought she was at risk for the health problems you mentioned.

My friend just doesn't care what she eats, it isn't weight related for her. But it just goes to show how terrible all that crap is for you!

what an idiot. so she lost as she was eating the junk food? she must not have binged on it, just kept cals really low although they were all empty. Despite the fact that shes 100 does she still look physically unhealthy from her obvious lack of nutrition?

actually, u can lose weight on junk food. a man once went on an icecream diet and lost weight. the thing is, its not all about the calories. or carbs if you're on atkins. you're body doesnt burn fat just because it needs calories. when u eat only junk food, you're not giving your body everything it needs, so it goes looking for it elsewhere. where else to look? in that fat it stored for times like these. it starts to burn the fat cells for the stuff you're lacking from whatever junk diet youre on. does a junk food diet always work? heck no. but there are some cases were those individuals have lost weight, and its NOT a calorie thing.
