Adipex, should have tried it sooner!!
i lost 22lbs recently before adipex, i was at a standstill just started adipex 4/23/09 and combine with exercise lost 6lbs so far !! im excited, i really do not feel hungry...i feel energized for the most part and just excited bout this route i chose! anyone have any tips??
Do you plan on taking this Adipex forever? Stop now before it becomes your crutch. You should know that taking weight loss pills and supplements is not recommended here. You said you were using proper diet and exercise, so how do you know it's the Adipex? You probably just broke through a plateau that many face with weight loss.
I was on phentramine for like 2 months and then my dr switxh me to adpidex( same med just stronger dose)..my major -side effect is dazing out, like a weird state of ephoria mixed with wierdness, u cant really pay attention to anything when this happens....its so scary, but i have lost 83 lbs since sept 08...i have only 2 pills left, then im taking a break for like 2-3mths, im goin 2 try atkins
WOW 83lbs thats sucess congrats!!!
my first day i felt a burst of energy, but everyday after that i haven't felt that energy but my appetite is so much better im not really that hungry but i have to remind my self to eat so when i do i make sure its something healthy....but the only main side effect i have is dry mouth which is okay makes me drink more water and who doesn't need more water?
are u active in the gym as well?
are you talking about apidexin? or is apidex different? I've been taking the apidexin for about a month now. I love the energy boost it gives me, kind of makes me perky and energetic (never thought i'd say that about myself). as far as weight loss goes it doesnt seem to be doing that much to help weight loss directly aside from giving me the extra energy to go burn some calories
i took apidexin too. is apidex different??
apidexin kind of worked for a bit, but then i stopped taking it. at first it kind of screwed around with my sleep pattern. but then it normalized out. I still have like 2 weeks of the stuff left.
one of my friend's who is a major fitness and supplements expert told me that the ingredients in apidexin are good, but too light of a dosage to make anything happen.
maybe tomorrow i'll go back on it again, for a boost or something.
yea i believe thats something different, adipex is prescribed by your doc, it gives energy and curves or surpresses your appetite...look it up on webmd.com but.... u forget ur hungry but u do have to eat something....i heard of it all the time, but my only regret is i wish i asked about it sooner lol
hm....well i have plenty of energy and don't have a problem with over-eating...moreso just sometimes eating the wrong things!

does this medication make you feel wired, like if you drink too much caffeine or take a couple no doz? just curious because i was thinking about trying it.
Hi...I took Adipex and Phentermine some years back (switched back and forth between the two), at my highest I was around 218 pounds, went down to 190 by myself then got stuck, so I saw my gp and she prescribed me some appetite suppressants...I lost a total of 49 pounds after taking it (from 190 pounds to 141 pounds)....but I wasn't consistent with it...I just popped it in whenever I needed it...so I only ended up taking only 2-3 pills a week...the doc told me that I'm not supposed to take it for more than 3 months (if taken on a daily basis)...so since I only took the pill a couple times a week, I was taking it for around 10-11 months...I did take a few weeks break in between where I'd stop taking the pill though.
oh yeah, I kept my weight off (it's been 6 years now), so that's cool :)
You gotta wean yourself off it though! If you're taking it on a daily basis, then gradually reduce to taking it only two-three times a week, this way you won't need to depend on it too much, and it'd be easier for you to adjust once you get off it. Good luck!

The side effects vary from person to person...for eg. my sister got crazy side effects from it, heart racing etc...it freaked her out and she stopped. In my case my main problem with the medication was insomnia...nothing else. That's why I chose to take it only a couple times a week rather than everyday. And yeah, I'd say the effects are somewhat similar to when you've taken too many cups of strong coffee in a day...lol...you get pretty hyper and feel like you can't sit still or something.
yea i would say it varies person to person i mainly have to deal with dry mouth ...thats great u took it and kept it off for 6 yrs! i lost 6-7lbs my first week cant wait to do it on a reg. i stopped this week cause nature was in
tmi but i felt like it would be a waiste so i will pick back up on it tomorro and i can wait
i did still learn to curve my appetite since i was off for the week... i can say im only impressed and wished i would have found out sooner...cuz by today i would hv been at my goal but hey better late then never!!
if you have anymore stories i would love to know how it went for you and where u started and how much u lost...
I also work out alot, 4mod-high intensity cardio weekly(40 min) and 2 strength train(40) min weekly, abd routines 2xwk, I have hit several plateus on this diet. I keep switching up all my routines every couple weeks to try n prevent plateus...sometimes i dont get enough cals, so my body thinks its starving, sometimes im just in a routine too long, I want 2 stay on my diet pills ut have been on it between this and phen more then 3 mths so i have to break :-(

yep...you can expect to lose up to 15 pounds on your 1st month (that's how much I lost the first time I started, and I wasn't even taking it daily)...but it will slow down to around 3-4 pounds a month after that even though you will still continue losing.
And nah...it's actually great that you managed to lose some weight by yourself before starting Adipex!! This way, once you stop using it, you'll know what to do! It'd actually be more difficult for someone with no weight loss experience to stop the Adipex/Phentermine and maintain their weight, as they've got zero experience when it comes to managing their food intake without the aid of pills...so, all the best to you, keep working out and eating healthy (don't forget to eat! and carry a bottle of water with you everywhere you go :P)...you're doing great and it's only a matter of time ;)
just some additional info abt me: after reaching 141pounds and stopping the meds (I was a college freshman at the time), I also lost an additional 11 pounds by myself...and maintained it...so I've been at ~130 pounds for a long while now...current goal is to get to 120 pounds (I'm 5'5).
wow, u lost alot, hope i can be on the same track...
