adult vs. teenage calorie requirement

Quote  |  Reply

Hey:)

Im just curious... do you guys really eat more than what the CC counculators reccomend? Does anybody go by those adolescent counculators?  CC reccommends i eat up to 400 calories LESS than what the other websites for teens reccommend. Ive been maintaining my weight following CC regardless....

Could i bump up my intake 3-400 calories and still maintaing my weight? Anybody had any experience with this?

If it makes any difference i am pretty athletic, and have a big appetite...and obviously wouldn't MIND eating more... haha:)

Yes. Your body needs more nutrients and calories/energy to grow and develop. CC's tools are inaccurate for under 21's as you are still growing in these years. Yes, even in the later end of those years - there's more going on inside of you that you simply can't see.

I use the one Lala just posted, and it hasn't failed me yet.  :)  If anything, it may be a little on the low side.  :o

Best of luck.  ^.^
