HI :)
Some advice would be great!!
I am 31 years old woman and was 170 pounds 11 weeks after giving birth, i have been following the diet on here and counting my cals with fit day.com. I am now 165 pounds. I am 5.6 in height.
I work out Monday to Friday on my elliptical machine for 30 mins and burn 350 cals a day.
Where i get stuck is the calories i need to eat lose weight. Also do i eat more cals on the days i workout?
I think i need 1500 cals to lose weight?
So melanierah, here is what I can tell you.
You need to calculate what your BMR is. you can serach for "Bmr calculator" on google and use one of those. That will tell you how many calories you burn every day just doing nothing. I would recommend eating that number of calories, or close to it. Every activity you do in a day will bring that number up. The burn meter will tell you your avergare burned in a day with normal activities based on your lifestyle. Then any exercise you do, like the elliptical for example, will add a certain number to your total burn in a day.
My advice is to eat what you BMR is. Also, compare your food meter with your burn meter. You must have a deficit to lose weight. A healthy deficit is 500 a day. Just make sure your deficit is not larger than 1000.
Are you nursing? Because if you are you need to eat at least 1800 calories per day.
You might want to add some strength training to your workout. Muscle mass is what fuels your metabolism...plus you don't want to end up skinny and flabby.
