Any advice?

Hi all,

I'm entirely new to this website, but the reason I am on it is because I don't fit in my wedding dress!! I need to lose about 10 - 15 lbs to fit in it within the next month or so. Is this even possible? I'm not large now, they measured my dress wrong (arrggghhhh!! and I know there's probably LOTS of women who say that, but its true). I have no choice but to try to shrink into this dress. I'm willing to try almost anything, short of completely starving myself. Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Honestly.... There really is not healthy way to lose 10-15 lbs in a month.   Specially since your already relatively small.   I honestly don't think it's possible.

Is there any chance they can let the dress out in the next month?  Goodness I don't relly know what else to suggest.

Good luck!

I agree with lunaripyros, I would opt to let out the dress. 15lbs in a month is not healthy, especially if you don’t really need to loose that much weight, but only want to do it to fit into a dress. (Though I do understand this is a very special occasion).

Good luck to you whatever you choose to do, and I hope your wedding is magical. Smile

Hit the weights. You may not actually need to lose 10-15 pounds. Muscle takes up less space than fat.

That's ridiculous! You shouldn't have to pay for the dress if they've made it wrong. They should sort that out for you.

No worries about that, I will be talking to them about it. I just don't have time to get a new dress ordered (wedding is July 4/09). I'm thinking maybe I should just work on losing inches, instead of pounds? I will probably have the dress let out as well, but this dress isn't even CLOSE to fitting, and the seam allowance won't let them take it out as much as I need. What a nightmare...lol.
