I use this sit for my dieting and everyone is always so helpful.  Does anyone have a recipe for getting over a bf that cheated? I did the breaking up but it still hurts.

take all the pictures and put them away... or burn them, whatever works. and don't, whatever you do, don't let it take away from your own self worth.

then... sit down... have a good, from your toes, cry that leaves you exhausted and feeling as if you have no more tears... then get a good workout in... play "you oughta know" by alanis morissette, invite your girls over and talk about anything except that and all of a sudden you'll realize that you are happy and you are strong and as long as you know that you are true to yourself, then you can't be false to anybody else (this above all: to thine own self be true qnd it must follow, as the night the day, thou cans't not be false to any man-shakespeare). This knowledge will help you to know that at the end of the day, you live an honest life and you didn't hurt anybody by being dishonest, therefore, disrespectful to them.  That's a good life that you should be proud of.

Good for you for dumping the a**hole. Nobody deserves to be betrayed, ever.

I wish you ALL the best. Take care!!

steph14 has a pretty good plan, go with that.  and don't wait for someone else to come along, get over it on your own.  love you and being with you.

The best revenge is being happier without the bastard than you ever were with him.

Hang in there, you're better off without the scumbag!

I am truly sorry you are going thru this.  Everyone before me is correct.  You don't deserve this.  Noone deserves to be betrayed lilke that.  I can totally empathize with you.  It is very, very painful.  You will be ok.  You will be better than ok.  One day you will see him and he will see what a great person and relationship he lost.  I know it sounds funny....but ....really just take it one day at a time and you will make it!  If you want to talk we are all here for you.

"I did the breaking up but it still hurts."

Take a moment and breathe that in.

That, monet8, is your recipe for success. Now. Later. And the recipe is this:

"Genuine ingredients only.
No artificial sweets."

The moment you find yourself being served a plate of disrespect, call the chef (you may have misunderstood something). But if everything is in order in the kitchen (working the analogy HARD here, I hope you appreciate!) and you're left with a steaming hot plate of (what amounts to) junk food, get up and leave. (Like you did. GOOD for you!).

You may still be hungry; famished, even.  But you (all of us) deserve healthy nourishment, mental as well as physical.

It's hard to see it now, and even more difficult to believe, but you're WAY better off having said "No! I refuse to be treated like that!" Hang in there. You'll be fine.

I have been contemplating this one myself. Its not easy esp. when you are trying to diet, go to school, work etc. Sometimes I just want to throw the towel in and say to heck with it. My suggestion is (depending on your age) to check out on line dating sites and get back into the swing of things. Just make sure you weed out the jerks first. And there will be a lot of them. Good Luck !

Thank you so much everyone! Today I went and saw a lot of my friends and they had been saying that I could do so much better and I have realized I can.  I know its totally not my fault and I just have to focus on my own health and friends right now.  danielnotdan you post made me laugh I loved it.  We had only been dating like 2 months and it was a shock.  Although im not a fan of the dating sites just cuz its hard to read ppl face to face ( I dont have a good record lol) I am really excited for this new semester of college to start so I can met someone new and better.
