advice?? please =)
Hey guys, i want to loose a total of 30 lbs by Christmas *my first goal*
So far I'm at -12.5 since September 15th
And i need to loose 2 lbs a week to have another loss of 18 to get to my goal of 30 lbs by Christmas
I work out 5 days doing the ellipticalfor 30 minutes, then the weigh lifting machine things at the gym for like 15 minutes, and then i do a few ab work outs for like 5 minutes, then for a few minutes i do my arms with the weight things, i dont know what they are called haha..
Anyways i need to FOR SURE loose 2 pounds a week, so im going to add water aerobics to Saturday mornings..for a total of 6 days working out a week
I'm going to drink more water, and stick to 1500 calories a day.
Oh and i stopped drinking coffee in the morning, b/c i read somewhere that your body does this cleansing process every morning and when u have coffee it stops and messes with your metabolism, i dont know if thats true or not, but i stopped drinking coffee so hopefully that helps *no pop either*
I'm 5'4" 178.5 lbs 19 years old. if that helps.
is there anything anyone else can think of or has done to keep their weigh loss Consistent? i dont want to hit that plateau, im sure i will, when i do hit it, what do i do to get past it?
Anything helps. Thanks guys!![]()
Just keep doing what you are doing...sounds like you are on the right track. Keep it up and you will lose that weight. Best of luck and congrats on your progress so far!
You might try staggering your calories. Say 1300 one day and 1800 the next. Anyway you feel confortable really, adv 1500 day. I've read this confuses your body and keeps you burning at a good rate so you wont hit a plateau. And don't freak if you a a little off your goal at the end, even if you only lose 1.5 pounds a week, you'll be within 5 pounds of your goal. Good work! Stay healthy!
Thanks guys! its good having goals it keeps you motivated you know..
i was thinking about doing the zip zag calorie thing, does that really work? and how how and low do you go?
You can find a lot of research here on CC, but I found that I was zig-zagging naturally, and looking at my food logs I put my target at 1600 cals, but was eating as low as 1300 and as high as 2200, but always keeping a burn buffer of 1000. I've lost 20 lbs since Sept 15, so I think it's working. Just drink lots of water and make sure you get enough fiber. I try for 35 grams a day.
