How come I can give advise, but can not ever use it?

Quote  |  Reply

OK I like to mostly look at the forums but sometimes I would answer a forum with advice that I think will better a person and get them in the right direction. I sometimes can just make a quick point or give 100% of my opinion. (Good or bad) The funny thing about it is after almost two years at CC I can not for the life of me follow my own advice. I learned a great deal with CC, go figure!Undecided

Welcome to being human Laughing

I can tell you this: "Follow your own advice".

See how easy that is? Words are cheap so you give them freely. I don't know if you have children or not but the hardest thing I found out about fatherhood is to follow through with every thing you tell them.

Ever seen Alice in Wonderland? "I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it."

It's common for this to happen.

I always prefer to give it rather than take it.

Thats where the old saying "easier said then done"  comes from.

Thank you all,

Hoping everyone gets to there goals this year and if I give you advise I do hope it also gets you in the right direction.

Nieto - you always give very helpful, intelligent advice in a very gentle manner - it's easy to see you like to help others - keep it up.

And...as for not taking your own advice...I believe everyone does that.  We all know what we should be doing, but we don't always do it - we're only human ; )
