Aerobic exercise I can do in a small space indoors
Hey, I was wondering of a good aerobic exercise I can do in a small space indoors that will burn a lot of calories... I don't have a treadmill or anything. Any advice?
Thanks.
Thanks.

skipping?
How small?
You could walk up and down stairs. You could dance (Put on music and just dance about). Jumping Jacks. Perhaps a workout video (Come on and sweat to the oldies with me! ;D)
Also, you could go OUTSIDE and explore that whole outside thing... walking, biking, swimming, skating.
There are always options. :)

jumping rope is GREAT cardio and takes up very little space. Of course, you need a hard surface and understanding neighbors if you have a downstairs neighbor!
And I second hkellick, dancing, stair climbing, or workout videos are all very space efficient. Most video rental places have exercise videos, you can try out several different ones and see which one you like before buying one.
If you're just starting out, remember to start off easy. It's more important to do some cardio most days than kill yourself one day and spend the rest of week recoverig from an injury!

taeBO!
I use the Walk Away the Pounds tapes in my bedroom. The only space you need is about 2 steps in front, and one step to the side. There is a 3 pack that goes from 1 - 3 miles, and I purchased the 4 mile after the 3 mile wasn't enough.
What a great question! I have the same problem. I live in a small apartment and every time I do an exercise video I move all of the furniture out of the way, and even then I have to do some of the moves "in place" instead of moving all over like the folks in the video. So, while they're on the TV running and stretching about, I'm constantly staying in one place. I bought a small stair-stepper, called the "Lateral Thigh Strider" (I think), but it is really not very effective. It cost me about 30 of my hard-earned dollars, and it's about as effective as walking in place. If you've only got a small amount of space and it's krappy weather outside, the best bet is to do some crunches or basic floor exercises. Cardio is always a challenge for us apartment-dwellers.
Dance my girl.. Dance like you never before. It's good for small spaces... Dancing. YOU can do the 1 2 step and love it.
yes, dancing is fantastic!
and i'm going to go buy a jump rope as soon as possible. great idea.
