I'm debating between on Mon-Thurs 1hr 15 minutes Aerobics class -OR- a Mon-Thurs Tennis class. The tennis class will be a beginner class.Which one do you think will burn more calories? Any pros and cons?
I'm no expert by any means, and it also depends how long the tennis class is, but I would definitely say that the aerobics class would burn more calories. I play tennis myself, and from what I know about beginner classes they are more about learning how to play than a workout... there will be some movement of course, but most likely not nearly enough to really get a good workout, or at least not as good of a workout as an aerobics class. An hour and 15 minute long aerobics class is a considerably long class and will most definitely get you in shape!! Hope that helps!
I've taken both. The aerobics will probably burn more calories. However, my beginner's tennis was still a workout, and I met other people who liked to play, figured out I liked it, so I spent time outside of class playing. Needless to say, I don't enjoy my aerobics enough to meet up with classmates later to do more : )
I guess its a priority question. The best workout? probably aerobics. Fun and a workout? I'd go with tennis.
Tennis sounds like it'd keep you going. I used to play tennis as a kid, and I LOVED IT. Maybe I'll start going back.. it definately gets your heart rate up running around that court !! :)
I would do both.M/W: Aerobics; T/TH: Tennis?
I change up my workout almost daily. It's been really great and I feel like I am constantly ecersising a new muscle.
If it's school classes, here's what you should think about: Chances are you'll be "studying" about tennis before you start playing.
As for aerobics, if it's a step aerobics class, I can't give you adivse, bc I HATE step aerobics.
