Again, some help would be appreciated!
Well, not stupid as in "Wow, that was dumb. Couldn't you have figured that out yourself?", but more like "Sorry I'm being so dependent on everyone else's advice." :/
Anyway, soon I will be going back to school, and sports are required. At least 2 seasons, in fact. I will be starting up on cross country for the fall, and then running club in the winter, which is like long distance, but not as intense, more like something to keep you going in the long winters up here. So far, I was told to eat around 2200-2300 calories a day on 30 minutes of exercise (I have been starting to run every day in the past week to get ready for school, but I have increased by calorie intake by quite a bit to make up for it), and so far, I have gained about 3.5 lbs. I have about 6.5 to go by the beginning of December, and I was wondering how many calories I should add on top of what I am eating already to continue to gain? By the way, I'm 5'1.5"-2", and now around 98 lbs, and I'm 15 (and a half, lol) years old. All sports practices are around an hour each, but not constant running for an hour, more like 10 minutes stretching and whatnot, 45 minutes running, and more stretching. That on top of daily walking. And yes, I know that you aren't supposed to exercise a ton when gaining weight, but I got the OK from my doctor and mom to run everyday! And so sorry for being so dependent, it's just that I don't trust myself to make the correct calculations, and I really have no room to slide back down again. Thanks so much~! :)
edit: Changed title as to not sound ungrateful for everyone's help.
If you are gaining on what you are currently eating, there is no need to change it. If it is working, don't mess with it. Don't get too caught up in numbers. Pay attention to what works for you. If you stop gaining when you start school, eat more until you start gaining again. You might need an extra 500 calories a day when you start running.
if you are suffering from an eating disorder then sport is not a good idea at the moment. if you are 15, then your parents should be aware and it should be possible to arrange with the school that you do not participate in physically exherting class. im sure this is possible. schools are completely accomodating with these type of requests
Ok, sounds good to me. Thank you much!

No no no, I don't have an eating disorder. I can assure you that. It's just that I had a stressful year at school, and when I become extremely stressed, I feel sick, and forget to eat (stupid, right?). It's totally under control now.
ok, well be careful because intense sports, especially where the bodytemp is raised, can also hinder the appetite temporarily. in your case fruit juices and sports drinks can help alot. liquid calories - especially in simple carboyhdrate form have little or no effect on the the bodies' calorimeter. studies show that participants who drink a 750 cal liquid supplement of carb only form eat normal portioned meals afterward. it is only when ppl are told the calorie content that they consciously adjust their cals.
so smoothies and orange, apple, pineapple and grape juices would be ideal for you :)
Wow, that sounds great! Thanks for telling me that!
On top of drinking juices, definitely drink things like gatorade or powerade at your sports practices. I mean, that's a really easy 200 calories and you don't even think of it because you're so thirsty anyway. :)
Yup, sounds great! Thanks for your help~!
Also. drinking milk is a good way to go. The vanilla silk in a smoothie is like God spat in a blender. Also, natual peanut butter oats is like a superfood. The nut butter blends right in man you get all the taste but none of the stick-to-the-roof-of-your-mouthiness.
I've never tried Silk before, but it sounds like it's so good! But whenever I ask if I can try it, I get weird looks from my parents. And yeah, I drink a glass of milk after I run (1%). I've also put pb (B'N PB) in oatmeal before, and it was awesome and SO not pasty.

This made me laugh so much that I quite want to marry you ;)
