OK, that?s going a little far. But on the weekend I went out drinking 2 of the 3 nights. And when I awoke Monday morning to a bloated tummy and tired eyes, I sooooo regretted drinking. LOL. Although last night I only had one drink, coz it was a Sunday. But on Saturday I drank so much, I just feel blah!! I know this seems weird but I?d rather go on a chocolate binge than drink heaps and heaps. L Anyone else feel like this or is it just me?
Beer is my downfall. I can resist almost anything else but if someone offers me a frost one...not so easy! Since I have drastically cut down my consumption it doesn't take much to make me feel like you said: bloated and tired looking. So not worth it
Nup. Esp 2 nights in a row... :(
i never get like that, i got drunk on vodka last weekend of course i had a hangover the next day. guess depends on what you are drinking that may cause you to feel or look bloated the next morning. but then again im a guy and can't compare to a womans point of view.
vodka pre mixed drinks. lol. yeahh guys have to be different.
I think guys bodies handle alcohol much better, which is not to say they make wise choices with it anyway.
I have had nightmare experiences with alcohol. I don't drink it at all now because it's just not worth it. Our (women's) bodies are very sensitive. What's the point? Waste of money, automatic bad decisions while intoxicated, feel like your being tortured the next morning.
I guess I'm lucky in that, while I like (love) beer, I'm not really into drinking much. I've had 4 Sam Adams in the fridge for the past month. And, even when I do drink, I really only like one beer. I don't think I could drink more, because beers REALLY fill me up (maybe its because I skipped past the beer-flavored water every other college student drinks and went straight to the good stuff?).
I rarely drink. Maybe 2 saturdays in a month, but when I do its hell. But it depends who I'm with. But yeah I have cut it back severely, which is why I think I feel worse because I don't drink as much as often so when I do its hell to pay
I don't know what it is, but a couple of glasses of wine, or a margarita and I used to feel so relaxed and 'floaty'.
since I had my gallbladder out............it doesn't affect me that way. I say stupid things, get an upset stomach and headache.........no floaty feeling anymore!
so, no, its not worth the extra calories for me anymore, but sometimes I miss having a drink now and then.
Gah I know!!! I love alcohol so much, but it's definitely one of the major causes of my little weight gain in the first place. But nowadays I just keep a limit... 2 cocktails/week and the nights where I don't have those I limit myself to 1 glass of wine (which they actually say helps weight loss so long as it's only one).. and now when I make cocktails, I try to make sure it's nothing creamy or anything, just a mixer with either orange juice or diet soda..
I don't know about you guys, but the French knew a long time ago that wine (and just about any alcohol} is a appetite stimulant. That's right folks, it makes you want to eat!!! I know every time I imbibe on a glass or two of wine, I want something to munch on with that! That is why I really need to watch how much I drink, and limit it to maybe a glass of wine a week. If that.
Looking back on it, I'm sure up until about a year ago, it was one of my major causes of weight gain, too. Out every weekend, lots of mixed drinks (especially bourbon/coke and margaritas!!) And I never get a hangover, so there was never that feeling of "ugh, I won't do that again!" My friends used to say they wished they could bottle whatever I had that kept the hangovers away, we would make a fortune.
But now, I live in a dry county, and even when we go to a restaurant, it is not worth it to me to spend my calories on booze. I may have a glass or two of wine every couple of weeks, but that's about it. And, as with other things such as chips and other junk foods that I've stopped consuming, I've rather lost my taste for it.
How does drinking a glass of wine help with weight loss?
booze is a will power zapper. I enjoy both wine and beer but I limit my intake two glasses. even then two glasses of wine can lead to wanting a nice sweet. when i drink i eat!
I notice a huge change in my body when I booze (which happens all to frequently) I also notice when I drink I am less apt to work out AND when I do work out I don't do it as hard as I should.... Hmmm, BUT doe sthis make me stop the drinkin?????? Nah.... Maybe time to reconsider....
Also drinking water helps a lot with the bloating - so I would try that FOR SURE! :)
in all things, moderation..

If you have to sweeten it up, you don't really like alcohol, just the effect it has on you...
I gain weight too easily from alcohol. I remember one spring break when I drank a ton but ate sparingly and I came back 10lbs heavier!
I'm going to either have to limit myself severely, give it up completely or only have a drink on special occassions. No more drinking at home for me.

I don't know about the weight loss ... if you budget a glass or two of wine into your calories, then it really won't hurt UNLESS it makes you lose your judgement and you go way over on something else. But red wine (specifically) is supposed to be good for heart health due to the antioxidants in the skin of red grapes.
good wine is my downfall. one glass two glass three glass more. I have been experimenting with a two glass limit and this is working pretty well though sometime I "forget" and then drink too much. Same with eating. I have that type of personality. once I step over I get out of control. UGH
Ahhh now I want wine 8 - ) I make Mojitos w/ splenda some times and they aren't tooo bad!
