Alcohol drink suggestions
I am looking for low cal alcoholic drink ideas.
I use to buy Mike's Hard Lemonade light which was about 90 calories per drink. I don't particularly like beer so I was looking for other suggestions.
I'm a big fan of mixing liquor with diet drinks. You can do vodka and Sprite Sero (really good with flavored vodka... my fave is Smirnoff watermelon vodka with Sprite Zero) or vodka and Crystal Light. Vodka with soda water and a twist of lemon or lime is good, and so is whiskey/bourbon and Diet Coke. These drinks usually have 100-110 cals. But beware, there is research suggesting that consuming alcohol and sugar substitutes may get you drunk faster.
Oh, and be sure to check out hungry-girl.com. She has some great suggestions for making delicious low-cal mixed drinks.
Vanilla vodka and diet coke.
Absinth, a little goes a looong way.

So I have never heard of Absinth so I looked it up. The site I was reading said it's not sold in the US. So I am not sure how I could pull that one off.
I guess I could take a long ride to Canada, or even longer trip to Mexico.
I generally go for shots of vodka, and either don't chase or chase with water, depends on how many I've already had haha...
I think years of taking Buckley's every time I coughed have desensitized me to how disgusting alcohol tastes on it's own...useful, though.
It was legalized. Marilyn Manson has his own brand, Mansinthe.
I've seen it (absinthe, not Mansinthe) prepared in a bar in my town, although I surprised that it wasn't green.
Ah ok. When you said that I looked at the date on the website it was 2006. Thanks, I'll have to look for it.

If sissors are nearby when you drink it, wear ear-muffs.
I can tolorate beer. And after i few i don't even mind it because I don't taste it anymore but if I had a choice I would probably choose liquor over beer.

It might have the same name, but stuff sold in the U.S. is not the real thing. I just buy mine online. It's expensive, but I don't drink it often.

Sigh, I like beer but it is not friendly to my calorie budget.
I usually go for rum and diet Coke. If I just want people to *think* I'm drinking, or have something to hold and sip, I get a seltzer with lime.
Also, agreed, the absinthe that's legal in the US is not the real thing.
If you're worried about artificial sweeteners I recommend vodka and flavored seltzer water.
Vodka + raspberry lime seltzer + big squeeze of fresh lime juice = Yum
yes. vodka + water = low cal
how about a martini?
I love coconut rum with diet cranberry juice
EDITED TO ADD:
I love beer and refuse to give it up completely. I just budget it in with my calories for the day when I plan to drink it. That's been working for me so far.

It's been legally imported in the US since March of 2007, so what's sold in the US is probably the same as what you're getting online. It's also been produced stateside since december of 07.
