Why does 80 proof alcohol like gin, vodka, etc. get a rating of F? i can understand beer, and wine getting a rating of C.  But spirits like Gin, vodka have no sugar, no carbs, no cholersterol, no sodium, etc.  So why the F?

me too.  exactly my point! Cool

Hahahahaha. That was funny. I like alc too so it gets an A in my book.
It gets an F for fun!

Trying to remember how much you've drank so you can log it is hard:-\

Srsly tho, alcohol is so bad for you, and it makes you less able to absorb vitamins.  I'm glad they gave it an F...I think its weird that beer gets a C, but it is a little better for you.  I just totally disagree with my analysis when after New Years was all said and done...I ended up with a C rating.  When you wake up surprised you can see again I would not give that diet a C

Happy New Year! !

I just read an article on the dangers of heavy drinking....
Scared the crap out of me.
So that's it!
After today, no more reading.

It has no nutritional value and is made of sugar.

LOL!

Beer and wine get a higher rating because they still have some nutrients from the grain or fruit that they were fermented from.  Distilled spirits have all the nutrients removed.
