I have to say, not only are they cheap but their Fit N' Active line, ROCKS. I just made some whole wheat spaghetti and it was delicious, no weird texture. Their yogurt, excellent. They even have ruby red grapefruit, canned, delicious. Their regular food rocks too. Alot of their stuff is better than name brand and we are name brand people. Even their ketchup rocks and we are a heinz only household. That says alot!

I have an Aldi by me but I cannot bring myself to go there because the ones I know of are only in the most ghetto areas in the city.  That's probably a poor reason, but I just can't do it.  Thanks for sharing though - maybe one will open up in a safer area near me :)

I just made my 2nd trip to Aldi today (I was a bit scared to go in there for a loooong time) but could not believe the awesome pricing of items! I love trying new grocery stores but was a bit scared of discount groceries (after a bad Sav-A-lot experience) however Aldi was very clean and the aisles were very neat and they had a good selection!

I bought a box Fit n Active granola bars, frozen veggie steam blends, frozen shrimp, salad dressing, nuts, rice cake chips, yogurts and some various condiments for a great price!

They also have a "Fiber One" bar there too, I am totally recommending Aldi to everyone, especially when my bill was only around 18$ versus 50$ at SuperFresh.  Next time I will have to pick up some Whole wheat spaghetti.

I love Aldi's and go all the time! It didn't use to be so great, but I do love thier Fit n Active stuff. I buy most of my groceries there except for some items that I'm a name brand snob (ie. peanut butter - I love my Peter Pan!).  Other than that I can spend $100 there and be stocked for WEEKS! If it's in your neighborhood I highly recommend it Laughing

Oh, and for those of you too scared because their Aldi's is located in the 'ghetto' are missing out.  Just because it's a place that sells inexpensive food doesn't mean you'll get mugged...

Thank you tcole03, I wanted to say it but didn't want to come off offensive.  I used to go to Sav-A-Lot in the middle of Hartford here and noone has ever bothered me.  My philosophy is if you act scared, they gonna scare you!
