What do you think aliens look like?
And can beings from another dimension, but in the same space be considered aliens?
Hmmmm, not sure what aliens look like. I've watched way too much Stargate SG-1 and X-Files to give a non "little grey men" answer :)
As for the beings from another dimension...well, if they are technically on Earth, just on a different plane, I would say that they aren't aliens.
Yeah I guess X-files and War of Worlds kind of brainwashed me into picturing aliens. Who knows what they could look like. They could have all different kinds of senses depending on what their world would be like. Evolution would then take care of refining body parts for those senses. Hmm, maybe by communicating they have to vibrate their whole body instead of just their vocal chords.
I like the idea of aliens from a carbon planet. The would eat oxygen, and burn it by breathing carbon(Backwards of all things on earth).
Heh - they might not even be corporeal. I like the idea of energy based beings, not bound by a planet, and simply existing in space, like the Calamarain in ST:TNG.
on edit: And whether or not beings in a different plane, but on our same planet, would be considered "aliens" is a matter of definition and semantics. You could say they are "alien" to our dimensional plane, but native to this area of space. Which one takes precedence in legal/ownership situations would get interesting.

How would that be backwards? Most higher level Earth life forms take in oxygen and expell carbon dioxide.
They look like people from other countries that come into other countries illegally. :P
;)

Haha. So they look like me & my husband, freaky!
I think they look like Megan Fox. Seriously.. I don't understand the hype around her. I've seen pictures where she looks really pretty.. but they're obviously airbrushed because I've seen more of her looking like she's from another planet.
Prawns.
Like us.
We're the invaders, imho. ;) We try to invade/conquer-control/claim everything. That's why we fear others doing it to us, because that's all we know.

Well if there's an infinite amount of dimensions, I'm sure there's one where prawns control the Earth.

Anytime I visit an aquarium I feel like I'm looking at aliens. Sea creatures are the weirdest effing things. Jellyfish, and giant crabs, and prehistoric looking fishies. They totally creep me out.

Totally. ;)
Another crazy thought too. By the time any Aliens visit us, depending on how long they have to travel in space (ie low gravity, radiation, etc) they may have even evolved differently then when they first started out. I think that may happen to us eventually if we ever travel long enough & have to colonize different worlds & such. We could have off shoots of the human race.
They look like Zoidberg

Me either- I still don't understand what all the hype was about.

sorry i shouldn't have put that comma there. All things on earth eat carbon baced fuels( like sugars and fats), and then burn it using oxigen that they breath in.

I went to see it on a whim and absolutely loved it. I've seen it twice in the theater, and I am usually too cheap to go to the theater at all! I guess it was just my kind of movie though. ![]()
Wait--that's not a proper internet forum response. I meant to say...
YOU ARE BOTH WRONG AND NOT ENTITLED TO AN OPINION UNLESS I SHARE IT BECAUSE WHEN PEOPLE START HAVING DIFFERENT OPINIONS IT IS WASTEFUL AND TERRORISM!!! EVERYONE MUST LIKE THE MOVIES I DO!!!!

Haha. You know, I probably would've liked it a lot more if it wasn't for all of the hype. I mean, it was entertaining and I didn't hate it. I just was looking forward to a really epic sci fi movie and I didn't get much of one. But then again, I still think Star Trek is the best movie I've seen all year.. wait, no, Up is the best one. And I still think Wall-E should've won best picture last year.. I watched Slumdog Millionaire and thought it was dumb and uneffective. That's just me though. I have strange taste in movies. I'd rather sit down and watch a Pixar film than anything.
