I love all bran, and i eat it for dessert most nights after dinner. The thing is, i actually looked at the nutrition lable today (can't believe I didn't before) and it is actually very high in sugar and calories. I eat 3/4 to a cup in a sitting, and thats 150-180 calories! seems like a lot, and tons of sugar. What I'm wondering is, do you guys think it still balances out to be healthy? Its a good source of fiber and vitamines, and  its really the only milk i drink. . . any opinions?

have you looked at your "analysis"? if you still have a good balance of fats, carbs, and protein, i wouldn't worry about it! if not, just cut back a little, maybe a half cup is enough.

Have you tried Fiber One?  I've been eating that with unsweetened soy milk.  One cup of cereal with half a cup of the soy milk is 160 calories.  Occasionally I'll water down the milk a little too to save calories.
is fiberone lower in sugar and/or calories?
fiber one has 60 calories per half cup, and no sugar, though it does have sucralose. i eat it straight up, it's sweet enough for me.
Are we talking about the same cereal?  I eat it all the time and it's 81 calories a half cup.  Here's the item

I think FiberOne actually has aspartame, not sucralose, for those who have a preference.

Also I second the Allbran Extra Fiber comment -- lower cal than FiberOne WITHOUT the fake sugar and without too much real sugar either. And did I mention delicious!
Nitzan is right..FiberOne has aspartame. Could've sworn the other day I looked at the ingredients list and saw sucralose..weird. Thanks for the correction :)
