All those darn diet pills?

Several years ago during a routine pap smear the OBGYN offered to prescribe me a trial bottle of some kind of appetite suppresant.  I looooved it but had financial problems and couldn't renew the prescription when it ran out and now I can't really afford to go to a doctor to get a new prescription so I am looking for something good that's otc.

The most important factor, to me, is that it be an appetite suppresant that is not going to hold some big, butt punching metabolism booster.  Everything I've ever tried with meta-boosters in it has made me feel wired, shaky, hyped up, nervous, anxious, caused troubles with my sleep and yes...that's as directed.  I'm just very sensitive to energy components like caffieene, ginseng etc.

My problem isn't really having energy anyway, I have a great, regular exercise program but it's not working because I'm a snack fenatic.  Working from home makes it too easy to get bored and always want to be nibbling on something so...

Can anyone reccomend a really good OTC appetite supressant that has worked for them?  I see all these commercials on TV but I never know what to actually try and all that.

honestly I have tried all of them the only that worked for me was Trimspa.. nevertheless, i always fell of them because its not something that i can maintain.. the only thing that works for me is water.. cold water.. and if its not in ur reach  u can't eat it.. try snacking on almonds or somethinglike that.. good luck

More information.  Trimspa and others sued for False Advertising
Over the counter weight loss aids are sold as dietary supplements and are not regulated as prescription drugs are.  They are not scientifically tested and double blind clinical studies are not required.  Many manufacturers have been sued for false advertising claims.  Serious harm has been caused to many people as evidenced by the advertising of personal injury attorneys, who will be happy to help you sue if you suffer a stroke or other side effect.
Well the NEW Natural Hoodia is an awesome no side effects appetite suppresant but you have to make sure its real hoodia ...it comes 500mg or higher ..the higher the more expensive..it starts at 30 + dollars a bottle its not cheap..it contains only hoodia gordinii too nothing else..can find it at some drig store and gnc.
lady, I'm a snacker myself ^__^ Have you tried swapping your snack from the frito-lays/doritos/snicker kind to something more like hm.... kashi bar/ baby carrots/ almonds/nuts/fruits? Not saying that you can't indulge in the first kind anymore (gawd knows how many of those still in my cabinets for my cheat days )... Actually I feel like I snack a LOT more now than i used to. Sometimes even a bag of junks. But if I kinda take it into account of my calories and keep up with the exercise, and well, I feel/look good and satisfied.
BTW, I take supplements, like fish oil, vits and cla, but appetite suppressant is the one tht i haven't touch. I don't think it will have any effect on me tbh lol. I just like to eat so much and enjoy my food :)
