Enjoy!  All inclusive is the way to go!!!

Do you have any specific questions?  I've done this a couple times, so I might be able to help.

I'm guessing you're asking how to keep to your diet while on an all inclusive vacation?

I think you need to remind yourself that just because it's part of the package, and therefore "free" doesn't mean you HAVE to eat/drink it - you shouldn't have to undo your hard work just to get your money's worth. The money is spent no matter how much you eat - that doesn't mean you should eat everything.

Thanks guys, yes my request for advice revolves around how to stick to my good eating habits, or if I should stick at all.  I'm not planning on going on a 7 day binge fest, but I want to be able to try all the yummy foods.

I want to enjoy myself but I don't want to return with a 5lb gain, especially because I've worked so hard to lose weight more rapidly** before this trip to look good in my bathing suits.  I'm also only 10lbs away from my goal weight of 130lbs.

:)

**By more rapidly, I mean "clean-eating" with no snacking and workout out longer periods of time.

No matter what the bartender tells you, the "rum punch" will get you snookered after just two glasses.  Not that I would know or anything...Embarassed

Don't do what I did and drink your cals - they can really rack up.  Only eat until you're full, and as already mentioned, don't feel like you have to eat everything.

And depending on where you stay, you can take advantage of a fitness room and/or classes they might be offering.  Or do something fun and active - long walks, beach (?) volley ball, etc.

If you must drink.....stay away from the fruity cocktails and beer. You tend to drink more than you think.  There are good options to choose from just stick to your goals and you will be fine.  Congrats on almost reaching your goal and good luck on those last 10 pounds

I got back from one of these a couple weeks ago - Punta Cana!

Have a GOOD TIME!  Eat - remember - it takes 3500 cals to lose a pound, but it also takes 3500 extra cals to gain one!  I didn't gain any and I ate  3 full meals, a couple desserts in the week and drank like a fish!  We did do ALOT of walking on the resort and on the beach!

It is only 1 week - enjoy yourself and enjoy the break!

Now that I know what kind of advie you're looking for...

Just have a great time and enjoy the food and drink!  You will probably be more active than you would at your desk at work, so you'll burn a little more than usual.  Have a great trip!

I went to one of those a few years back - it was great!  My first piece of advice is to enjoy yourself.  Don't ruin your vacation by obsessing over every little thing you eat.

However, enjoying yourself and going completely wild are two different things.  I second the advice to watch what you drink.  Those darn pina coladas are so good; I drank way, way, way too many of them on my trip.  However, I didn't gain any weight because I was much more active than usual.  I think that just moderating it would be best; eating it just because it's there and it's free and it looks  good is probably a bad idea.

But if it does turn into a 7 day binge, don't beat yourself up!  Have fun!

My family and I usually go on those every year. My advice to you: don't worry, just swim a lot, run on the beach, and partake in the hotel's activities. Most hotels offer things such as daily beach volleyball/soccer, kayaking, rock climbing, dancing lessons, etc. Try to steer away from sugary drinks, and you can always load up on salad at the bar. =D

IT'S WONDERFUL!!!   I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! My daughter and I took a "just the girls" vacation to Cancun a few years ago - it was paradise!!  Have fun!
