Hey everyone.  Thanks for making the transition over here.  We have to stick together and stay strong.  Bathing suit season and smoldering hot temps are on their way and we wanna look even steamier.  I encourage everyone to still post their weight loss when they weigh in but I'm not going to make it a challenge or a goal for us.  We just want to congratulate your on your triumphant success.  Good luck!

tammy & ladytrekki - I think it's awesome you guys are still losing consistently. ;D

Ladytrekki - I would get a new scale, yes - I'd hate to be thrown off course or de-motivated because my scale wasn't working properly - that would be terrible. The one I use is the Weight Watchers Bodyfat precision scale - it has bells and whistles, but I don't use them. I just use it to weigh, plain and simple - but it's remained very dependable. PS - are you really a Trekkie? :) I'm a trekkie and a babylon 5 fan.

So I finally exercised for the first time on Sunday since I hurt my back.  No weights or anything but we went to a state park here in TN that's gorgeous you walk around the lake and we took my dog Kinky.  She has a kinked tail and that's how she got her name.  My son kept wanting to race so we jogged too.  It felt so nice to work out again and it was an absolutely gorgeous day.  I haven't weighed in like 3 weeks since the scale's at the gym and I haven't been able to go.  I'm nervous.  I've eaten healthy still and watched my cals but I'm still nervous.  Thanks for everyone following me over here.  The other thread was so large and I know a lot of people weren't following it anymore.  Well I hope you are all doing well.  You all seem to be staying very dedicated.  All I can say is I'm proud and keep up the good work!

I just want a scale that is accurate. Don't really care about the bells and whistles myself. Smile

And yes...I really am a trekkie! Tongue out Although not enough of one to get dressed up and go to the conventions. I just love to watch sci fi...star trek is the best! Babylon 5 was a great series as well. My current favorite is Stargate Atlantis...they had a great cliff hanger this year too. I'll watch pretty much all of it except the scary/weird stuff. I didnt get into the twilight zone cause it was too wacky. LOL! But it's all good entertainment. Wink I download shows on my iPod and watch while I'm on the bike. Keeps me from thinking too much about the pain. Cool

Hi all! Another week down & still doing well! I lost 3.5 pounds, down to 284.5! WOOOHOOOO I finally have the pedometer & it helps a lot to let me know how active I have been & how much more I need to do. Bought a Leslie Sansone DVD & will start getting up in the a.m., before the kids get up, to walk. Pretty excited! Great job to all of us, we can do this!! Hope everyone is having a great day! ~RM

 Good job RM!

Thank goodness the weekend is over...  Now I can regroup and get back on track.  I don't know why, but I don't seem to struggle as much when I have to go to work every day.

I am really glad to see all of the familiar people finding this post as well.  I think I am driving myself crazy with the scale as I seem to have become obsessed and think I have to weight every day and keeping seeing myself bounce up and down.  I am going to try and weigh myself only one time a week.   I have had some knee issues so I am looking for some low impact activities that will help me burn more calories and tone up.

Hello everyone. I'm glad to see that a lot of people had a successful week! I managed to lose 3lbs this week! Smile

SW: 194lbs

CW: 191lbs

I'm definitely hoping to get into the 180s soon! Unfortunately, we're starting finals at my university and I highly doubt that I'll have time to exercise for the next 2 weeks. Plus, I'll be pulling constant all nighters to cram as much knowledge into my head as possible. I hope that I don't gain weight or lose motivation. Frown

Hey jericho...glad your back in the saddle. :) Thanks for keeping us all together here.

Congratulations realitymommy and infiniteheart on your losses!!

Hi JC-
Do you mind if I join? I don't 'qualify' for most of the challenges and such here because I'm a 2 week old forum newbie and missed cutoffs, etc. I've used the food log and such of the site over a year now though.

My highest non-pregnant weight ever: 292 lbs, Jan 2005. I was a size 24W jeans and that was tight around my hips & waist :)

I worked 59lbs of that off until I weighed 233 lbs last April but slacked off to 241 lbs by mid-May. I was able to squeeze back into my first pair of regular (not Womens') size 18 jeans!

But in May I found out I was expecting and gained 41.5 lbs (282.5lbs) when I delivered a healthy, beautiful little girl Jan 28th!

Well, my baby is 12 weeks old today and this morning I hit my first goal of losing that 41.5 lbs! I weigh 241 again! Yay!

My next personal goal: 233lbs.. because it was the lowest I hit last year :) That's 101 lbs for me to shed so I can be a healthy 140lbs. Then we'll see what happens after that as for any goal adjustments.

I count calories, take a multivitamin, and drink mostly just water or Crystal Light. I don't get regular routined exercise in much yet but I do more activity and try to walk some. I'll start some toning and more walking and misc. working out soon, though.

You can all do this! I know you can!!! I'm not back to what I used to be yet but I'm getting there and except for my pregnancy I've kept off 50+ lbs for a long while now.

Hi Steph! Wow, that's a great weight loss story already, 41.5 pounds lost is a great achievement. :)

Hi everyone. I have been reading your post and I wanted to know if I can join your journey as well. You are all so inspiring and I like to feel like my goal of 100lbs is not just a personal struggle.

I currently weigh 240lbs, down from my start weight of 247.5lbs a week ago. I have done really well to start and I have been able to lose weight before but I want this to really hit home and become a life-style for me. I am tired of being unhealthy and I need the feedback and support to feel like I am making a difference. :)

It looks like weight posts are Mondays so if everyone is ok for me to jump into the mix I will continue updating as the weeks progress. Thanks! And I know everyone can do it.... we can do it together.

SW (04/16/08): 247.5

CW (04/21/08): 240.0 (-7.5lbs)

Short Term GW (04/28/08): 237

Long Term GW: 140

Welcome stephtobea9 and darkkwing27! I'm a newbie here myself and have not been shunned (yet) so I'm sure that everyone is welcome here.

darkkwing27 - I can't believe you lost 7.5lbs in one week! That's phenomenal!

indiwarrior - Thanks for the encouragement! I need as much as I can get! Wink

I'm feeling totally motivated today. The summer sun and spring flowers are doing wonders for my mood!

Thank you so much infiniteheart! I have been working my butt off for the week but it is my first week so I know it will slow. It was definitely a GREAT jump start though. :) I know what you mean about the summer sun.... I live in San Diego and it is a beautiful day and I just feel great. Good luck everyone!

is it to late to join the thread? i need to lose 154 lbs...and i just started today...my aunt showed me this site yesterday its WAY COOL!! any one have any suggestions for me?

*skips on through* la la la

Hey I am still in Cool Just a reminder I do not post alot but I love to read this threads posts. I am down 11 pounds and rediscovering life it feels. My wife and I are playing Tennis 3 nights aweeks (it is not pretty but it gets the heart rate up) I think this CC lifestyle change is going great people at work have made comments about the way I look (I am down a total of 31 pounds 11 from CC) and they all ask what diet I am on and I tell them I am not on a diet just living a heathier lifestyle and understanding how my body works more. Most people just give me a strange look when I say that but I think it is great.

Hang in there everyone we can all do this. If anyone is feeling down just feed off the energy here on this thread. I like to look at like this I have never had a bad day I may have had bad moments in the day but never a bad day!!!!!!!

I made it though my covered dish supper and Sunday I had 2 granddaughters all day. I stayed on track.  Saturday was a no count day for me but I DID not over do.  I had a small serving of everything I wanted. My plate was full and I had a desert.  I must be able to incorporate eating out or special dinners in this program.  As a simi retired couple our social life includes eating away from home.  I cut back a few days before and did some extra swimming.  Still had a pretty good week. i am starting my 4th week
