All those still interested in losing 100 lbs join me.
Hey everyone. Thanks for making the transition over here. We have to stick together and stay strong. Bathing suit season and smoldering hot temps are on their way and we wanna look even steamier. I encourage everyone to still post their weight loss when they weigh in but I'm not going to make it a challenge or a goal for us. We just want to congratulate your on your triumphant success. Good luck!
HI everyone. hope that everyone's week is off to a good start. I have been swimming as much as I can lately and went last eve. and this eve. for about an hour and a half. scale finally showed me 4 more lbs gone. I was beginnig to get very frustrated, but not giving up. I am down now to 221,,,,,, yaaaaaaaaaay!!!! from last lost down to 225. Took 5 weeks almost to show up this time. I am in about a size 20-22, and can finally maybe see that size 16 goal down the way. really size 18 is more realistic, we will see when I get there, but I will not give up the way I feel now for anything. It is like being given a 2nd chance. Remember I started at 280 with severe back problem then had surgery in feb. alot of my weight loss has come since my surgery and ability to exercise got better. I will probaly only have one more visit with my back surgeon until either 6 months or 12 months. they want to see how I do this 6 weeks without structured therapy. so far doing well. kinda glad not to have that rigid 3 day a week having to go up there. I will be over at my mother in laws, starting thurs through the next wed. all through the 4th holiday and into the next week. will be a long few days for me. she is 86 and can not stay alone. her sitter is taking off to be with her family. hope youall have a happy 4th if I don't talk to you before then.......
I hopped on the scale this morning, even though it isn't my regular weigh in day, because I forgot to on Friday and I saw a 2 pound gain!!! I'm back at 231! I actually think it is because it is almost TTOM, so I think I may still actually be below 230 as I was before. It is so frustrating to be so overjoyed to reach something that you have been struggling to get to, just to see it disappear. My fingers are crossed that after TTOM I will be back below 230 again and maybe even an extra pound or 2 lower!
I did try on a smaller size pants that have been hanging in my closet, with tags on still, and they went on AND buttoned! Yes, they were a little tight, but they buttoned!!! I was overjoyed & it set my mind to thinking, I am so close, keep it up, I can do it!
Thanks for reading, have a great week!
I'm also changing some things up after my hiatus and thinking it all through and am now going to weigh in on Thursdays. Plus I joined the new Biggest Loser challenge-7 on here and I hope to do well with that. I actually won the part 6 one, but just barely! My goal is 20 lbs... we'll see what happens.
Good to read up on everyone :)

Hi everyone. have missed you all. guess everyone is busy with summer things, vacations etc. I am preparing for a much anticipated yard sale. have been trying to have it for over a year, but good thing I didn't because now I can wear alot of those clothes I put in to go in the sale. now I have to trade them all out and the big clothes outnumber the small clothes 3 to 1 ( because I had been bigger for quite sometime and figured I would be always. ) I am down to 219-220 now. so that is a few more lbs gone.I have lost 60 lbs. mostly it is showing up more in my clothes now with the 22's fitting good or loose now and guess what. I can't believe I put on a reg. XL tee shirt and it fit, not tight actually fit. of course it is still tight across my big old stomach ( but the stomach is half the size it was.) I could tuck the XL t shirt in and wear it with some pleated shorts. All of our tee shirts are 3X amd 4X as I never like anything to touch. think I will use all those harley shirts etc for sleep shirts. too expensive to give away. I miss all of you guys and hope that you are having a great summer and that your counting calories and exercising has gotten easier. It sure is easier when I can go to the pool.......
Where is everyone. Is anyone out there. yoo hoo. yoo hoo. Missing you guys. hope everyone is doing ok. penny
Haven't swam much the last few weeks but need to. I did some for fun tonight and felt good and not sore so far so maybe I'll drag myself out of bed early tomorrow and go.
Maybe someone else will return and update as well ....
Until next week's weigh-in at most!

still here. it has been a bit of a struggle but i am going on...
I'm here! Trying to keep up with a couple of these things & get lost sometimes! LOL
I have been doing pretty good, I am now officially out of the 230's for a couple of weeks now I think. I know have a goal of getting out of the 220's. I did get to wear a smaller size pants for my girls night out last night and I'm thinking all the screaming & jumping up & down & sweating & heart racing & drooling at all the sexy guys dancing & taking off their clothes surely burned some calories for me! ![]()
doing good too. i am 197 lbs as of this morning which means several more pounds lost...
sounds like a lot of fun. congratulations for getting out of the 230's whatever you ar doing is working. share your secrets. i have been in the 270' s like for ever. we have a biggest loser contest going on here at my work. we just started biggest loser round two on july 11, and i just don't have the same emf. i think i am bored with my food and with would i am doing so i need new ideas. i usually eat oatmeal for breakfast and a salad for lunch and some protein and veggies for dinner. man writing it down and seeing it in writing it is boring, he! he! i mean i change it up a little and i try to get creative. I am just blah! i know this mood will pass but i thought i would share and get it off my chest in hopes that it will make me feel better. sorry for dumping all this on you but i think it may help you and someone else who may be feeling the same way. ok thanks for reading this i hope to hear from you soon..
The main thing that I have changed that has really helped me is to drink lots of water, it really does 'flush' out your system & makes you feel fuller. When I want to change my food a little I try new seasonings, like lemon pepper, I found that I LOVE that on grilled chicken! I have also played around with my calorie intake until I found the right number that DOES make me lose weight. And increased the amount of exercise I was doing. I have a gazelle that I use daily & then 3-4 times a week I do a couple different cardio videos and sometimes the days that I don't do my videos I take a nice long walk.
It was just some minor changes I made, tried them for a couple of weeks, saw progress so I kept the changes. Now, I know that as I lose more weight I will hit a plateau and will need to adjust again. So, my suggestion to you is to maybe change your calorie intake a little & see what that does for you after a couple of weeks. I hope that has helped! Good luck to you, you can do it, just stick with and be patient. ![]()
So hey laurie...what's the number that is helping you lose weight?
I'm trying to stagger my calories...the jury's still out on whether or not it works for me. Check my journal out for details.
I'm finding myself somewhat stalled at the moment though I did lose one pound last week. Now that my TOM is over we'll see if I'll drop a few more this week.
Weight loss...hate the process but love the results!
It tells me 1650 on here, but I have found that 1600 works the best for me.
Hello Everyone,
It has been forever since I have logged on. My son has been in baseball and with practice everyday, working, going to school and two other kids I have been so busy I barely have had time to sleep. We just got back from World Series we did not do too good but it was a fun trip.
Well I am almost there. When I started this I was 222 and I am now 177. I was down to 172 but I gained a few pounds while we were out of town but I am back on track as of today.
Starting weight- 254
CC starting weight- 222
current weight - 177
I'm still here, but slacking off. We have been traveling allot with eating out, that is my biggest down fall. I have stopped logging my intake and exercise. Going back to my old habits of snacking between meals and picking at the stove. I was down to 207 but now am 209 from 224. I need to get back on the wagon and ride the horse to victory. I find summer harder because my life is busier, winter I am more controlled. I have tried to stay with the program, I have been able to get 1 hour of swimming laps in 2 times a week, was doing 3 and not over eating, stopping when I feel full and making better choices. I do not want to fall by the way side and not finish this journey, it is up to me to make the commitment and stick to it.
This is what has been happening with me, not entering my food or writing in my journal. eating stuff that i know are not good for me. i too am trying to get back on track. starting today. i plan on recording my food and doing my exercises. so lets keep in touch ok supernan. I want my old habits to be gone but i have to continue to practrice my new habits. right? that thought just came to me. it has taken us several years to built up all the old habits and now i espect my new habits to stick in just a few months. ![]()
I am going to start logging again today also, I know that is key. I thought I could stay on track without logging but that obviously is not the case. I am also on the brink of needing to buy smaller clothes and underwear. I have been a 9 in underpants for ever. My bras are not holding me up like they need to. I went to buy 2 new ones a size smaller and they are discontinuing the style I like, I HATE THAT.
pancha8 and stephtobea9 lets stay in touch, I find inspiration in reading others journals. I feel a connection and enjoy the camaraderie.
