All those still interested in losing 100 lbs join me.
Hey everyone. Thanks for making the transition over here. We have to stick together and stay strong. Bathing suit season and smoldering hot temps are on their way and we wanna look even steamier. I encourage everyone to still post their weight loss when they weigh in but I'm not going to make it a challenge or a goal for us. We just want to congratulate your on your triumphant success. Good luck!
HI everyone. hope everyone is still hanging in there and keeping the flame going. I am at 214 as of this morning. of course after this day of eating more than I should have it may change in the next few days. I have only lost about 3 lbs this month, but I knew it would slow down eventually. I have been swimming alot, but have not been doing all the walking I should on the days when I am not swimming. I need to exercise at least 6 days a week to keep the pace up on the loss and ward off the loose skin. I am 66 lbs. down from all time high of 280. I did 1 1/2 hrs walking/dancing and aerobic exercise, 1/2 an hour of back strengthening exercise like pilates. & nbsp; Laurien2kids, glad you are maintaining and hope that you get that loss real soon. hang in there. pancha 8. journaling really helps me, you are welcome to read my journal anytime. just click on my friends journals. anyone who is your buddy will show up under friends journals ( for that day.). everyone take care and keep in touch.......lonestarpenny ( pennY)
stephtobea9, glad you are still here good to see you. hang in there. we will all get there. just have to hang in..........penny
sorry penny i still did not get a chance to log on last night but will for sure this weekend. i know it will help. thanks for thinking of me.
I am getting so close to my first 'big' goal of reaching 220...I weighed in this morning at 224.6, 4.6 pounds to go!!! I am so excited! My next 'big' goal is to reach 200!
Had a great week of eating almost no fat, mostly fruits, veggies, and plain breads/pastas/grains and was able to get under 220 lbs to a eased-in 219 lbs. I was just giddy when I weighed in this morning, lol!
My gym membershp expires with August and at this point I'm not going to renew it. It was just a summer membership and I loved it, but didn't use it enough to pay the money. I hope I can do well without it! Let's hope so! I still have a long way to go!
Started off at 282 lbs on delivery date Jan 28th and I'm now at 219 lbs. That's what, 63 lbs? My goal is about 140 lbs or whatever fits me into an easy size 8/9. Should be around that weight. Being 5'5" and a small/medium bone build (and being that size before that this height, and smaller even!) I think it's completley do-able, just going to be work! But hey.. I spent years packing this on and living it up at the refrigerator so it's time to think about my health for my family !!
I'm still lingering at 224, but I'm not disappointed, I know that my body does this. I stayed at 231 forever it seems like, so to be down to 224 and not gaining is ok with me right now. I just know that one day I will step on the scale and see a 3 pound or more loss at once and then I will again linger at that for a while...I have accepted this.
stephtobea9, yeehaw. congrats on the 219, and I am sure more soon. we are staying pretty close. I am still at 212-213, shows a little more today but I think that is all that salty food I had last night. we cooked shrimp, oysters and ff. an early anni. meal. our wedding anni. is wed. 14 yrs. we are over at my mother in laws right now as her sitter is off for a week. hopefully she will be back wed. and we can go out and celebrate right. you don't have to have a memebership for a gym to get fit. we don't have one nearby so I got those strap on weights that go up to 5 lbs each, ( you can add weight as you need to). they go on ankles and wrists.wear them when you walk, do pilates or other exercise or whatever. just start with 1 lb and work up. you can also wear the leg ones to grocery store or whatever whenever you are walking during the day. ( the wrist ones might get in the way of normal activity while shopping or whatever). I also want to get some free weights. I have one 5 lb, but need some more. laurien2kids, hang in there. you are doing good and will get there. I am so glad that you all are sticking with it. pancha 8. hope you are hanging in too. don't give up. we all have to get there together... penny I hope to be back home wed. heard from supernan also. she said she is hanging in too.......
i bought a pair of size 16 jeans the other day that fit well. some 16s fit well, some i have to squeeeeeeze into, and some are a no-go. so i guess i'm officially a 16-18 yet :) i'm getting there! :)
hope everyone is doing well. sad to not see many on here any more. steph hope you are doing well and not getting to stressed with the busier fall life. you too laurien2kids. remember you have to fit time in those schedules for you and for your healthier lifestyle for everyones sake. pancho how are you doing now. hope that you are still sticking to the plan. I am doing pretty good. well not so good the past few weeks but ok. we had ike here, hurricane Ike and were blessed not to have any damage. but 2 -2 1/2 weeks of kilter can really throw your body for a loop. my mother in laws sitter finally got back on wed after being gone nearly 3 weeks. we got pwr. back 8 days after Ike but houston was about 12-16 days. some still out. I was lingering at 210 for better part of 5 weeks. not gaining or losing, but then Ike and the crazy eating and no place to walk as my walking area in house was taken up by mil and hubby. and myself. I thought I had dodged a bullet on weight gain. but then for three days the scale taunted with me 8 lbs + I was about to have a melt down. I have to remember to drink all that water that I should. seems when I got enough water in me most of that "fluid weight came off. It showed 212 this morning. Ok well. if it is a 2 lbs gain well I can deal with it. tomorrow the plan is kicking into high gear I have 52 lbs to go. If I can get to 160. I know what it takes discipline. discipline. I have to exercise at least an hour and a half a day. we are wanting to try to go to tombstone again around halloween. I have got to get back to where I was so I can make the trip without pain and have my muscles back in good shape and all. the back seems to be doing good. I have been very blessed with that........ take care everyone hope to see you all here again soon.
Im baaaaack! lol
Took a few months off. I am pretty disapointed in myself. However...I still managed to lose a few pounds. Sheer luck. I have been reckless and careless.
Big life changes. New house, brand new car, new duties at work...diagnosed with adult ADD (I finally know that I am not just crazy!). I just let weight loss fall to the side. I went back to binging, and fast food on the way home. I am so lucky I didnt gain anything back. Still have a little over 100 to lose...but started off at way more than that.
So you will be seeing me around again! :)
HI jennmary. glad to see you back. there hasn't been much traffic on the thread lately. have missed everyone as we all started together and I want to see everyone do well. I am on another thread that is people that are over 200 lbs and I believe it is called 200 plus weight loss buddies. I check back in here often but there hasn't been much traffic. glad that you didn't gain anything back. I have been out of whack in the last month or so since right before and after hurricane IKE. we got hit here and this is the second one in 3 yrs after 25 yrs of none. we live about 80 miles or so inland. we were blessed we had no damage but it was very nerve wracking. then I had a death of a cousin 44 yrs old. so the last month has been nuts. I am finally back to the 210 mark again. haven't been drinking enough water either. did get back into my walking this week which I need to go do now. I still have 50 to lose. I hope to get to 160/ you will do this girl. I have lost 70 and If I can you can too. you can add me as a buddy if you wish. do you journal? I keep up with alot of the buddies in journaling. it is really nice way to get to know people a little better and you can reply to their journals. y ou are doing the right thing by coming back. I don't know what I would do without CC and my buddies. penny
Hey Everyone! I had computer trouble for a while but I have it back now, minus my pics and some other important stuff, but I am back in the internet world now! I have been maintaining at about 225 for what seems like an eternity now. I know that I need to increase my water intake, that should help some and I need to get back on track with my exercise. Otherwise, my eating has been good.
laurien2kids. glad you are haning in there. sorry about computer trouble, seems to be alot of that going around. My hubby and I got me a new laptop since my old computer was over 8 yrs old and had windows ME on it. nothing was compatable with it anymore, neither my new kodak camera, or my new videocam, so with all the problems I had already been having with it forever going down on me we decided to get me a new one. I also got high speed DSL. I am so stoked about it. It is lightning fast compared to dial up. we don't get the highest speed that at&t offers but we get the one just below it. we were lucky because in our rural area there aren't many that the DSL is available to yet. glad you are maintaing and don't worry you will get back on track. this time of year is just so busy esspecially if you have kids. glad your eating has been good. Mine has been ok. I can't seem to move below 210 have been here about 5 weeks or so. hurricane IKE throwed me off track for 2 weeks then I lost a loved one and can't seem to get the exercise in that I need to. I did good tonight though I walked for an hour and did 45 mins pilates. maybe I am on a downswing? take care talk to you again soon......penny Hi to everyone.. hope everyone on the site is doing ok.......... pancha how about you/
Wow Penny you really kept up with this place. I made a lot of changes in my personal life. Including a divorce moving and being a single mom again. Everything has been so chaotic and of course I turned to food to deal with the stress. I'm trying to get back into the swing of things though. I don't think I've logged in here in over 4 months. How's everything been?
Hi everyone,
It has been a while since I posted I am alost down 100lbs belive it or not. I have 5 more pounds to go. It has been a few months since I posted anything. I think it was July 23rd the last time I posted. Jerichocheyenne, I am sorry to hears of all the things you have been dealing with. I hope you are getting settled and adjusted to you new life. Here is where I stand as of today. Let's get back on track gang we can do this!!!
Starting weight- 254
CC starting weight- 222
current weight - 159
Hi jericho, I am so sorry to hear about your divorce and all the trying times. I hope that you can get back into the swing, and remember take it slow and ease back in. I am determined that I am going to do this. I have slowed down some with dealing with hurricane Ike, power outages not being able to walk like I should I am relieved that I haven't gained but just maintained, I haven't lost anything in 6 weeks, but haven't really gained either. I am trying to work back up into my walking everyday, but I sure miss the swimming. you burn twice as many calories swimming for an hour than with walking 3 miles an hour. summer was easy to lose with swimming 3 days or so a week. I also have been eating a few too many calories, and need to work on that. I was released from my back dr. in aug. am doing pretty well with it now. hope to see you on here alot more. skorsac. wow. what a lovely photo you have there. a hundred lbs. what an inspiration you are. I have lost 70 to this point need to lose 50 more to reach my goal, but am not going to sweat it, I willget there slowly but surely. start weight 280, cc start weigh? I think it was 256, current weight 210. I am in a size 20 for the first time in 14 yrs. hope eventually to see a size 16, again, and maybe a 15, so I can wear that southern belle prom dress and have some photos made in it.lol hang in there girls we are determined .
My journey with this has just begun. I was 238 and am down about six pounds since Oct 1. I am working out and eating between 1500 and 1700 calories a day. It seems like such a long road ahead of me but the first step in making something happen is believing that it will.
Hi bitteronion. sounds like you are off to a good start. that is good news. the first step is the hardest. 1500-1700 calories a day is a good start. what kind of exercise are you able to do. the exercise has really helped me lose weight and gain strength after back surgery. It looks like a long road now, but believe me down the road you will look back and say well that passed by fast. just take one day at a time and month by month you will see the changes. just hang in there. We have had one of our friends here lose 100 lbs already. so It can be done. you don't need to lose near that much I am sure. I have lost 70 and working on 50 more. I am at 210 now. glad to have you on board...
Penny- thanks for all the encouragement. I for sure need it. I swore that once I got rid of the dead beat husband that I'd lose lots of weight but instead I stuffed my face to deal with the stress. I'm trying to really get back on track. I was watching biggest loser the other night and it was so scary when the dr. said that most people that have as significant amount of weight to lose like me that they rarely ever do because they and the people around them don't believe they can do it. Then they showed what the age of their heart was because of the obesity and my heart would be equal to around a 60 year old and I'm only 26. It was a very sobering thing. I know I feel 60 a lot of the time. So I'm trying to get refocused and to not be manic about it. I've been playing basketball with my son so that's helped. I just need to get back on my routine. It's awesome that you've stayed focused. Even if you haven't lost any weight over the past 6 weeks at least you didn't gain. That's great!
Skorosac- I'm so proud of you and jealous too cuz you did it. You stuck in there and stayed committed and you did it! Just think of how wonderful you're going to look at all the Christmas parties that I'm sure you'll be invited too. Good for you girl. Nothing ever tastes as good as thin feels.
Bitteronion- welcome. It doesn't seem as though there's many of us around here but maybe they'll all get encouraged and find their way back. Good luck on this journey it is a rough one.
How can I reduce body fat without running?
I can see on the back end that your current Body Mass Index (BMI) is 19.1, which is within the healthy weight range albeit on the low end... Read more
