Hey everyone.  Thanks for making the transition over here.  We have to stick together and stay strong.  Bathing suit season and smoldering hot temps are on their way and we wanna look even steamier.  I encourage everyone to still post their weight loss when they weigh in but I'm not going to make it a challenge or a goal for us.  We just want to congratulate your on your triumphant success.  Good luck!

Hello all.  I followed ya over.   :)

SW:295

CW: 265

GW: 140

30 pounds down!  That was on friday....I now refuse to weigh myself more than once a week, so I will weigh again on friday.  :)

I am doing well, temptation is pretty easy to resist.  I did have a day or 2 of stupid eating.....but NOTHING compared to how I used to eat.   I was in a tight 24....now in a pretty loose 22.   So all is well.

we're pretty similar jennmary! Smile

SW: 288.5

CW: 267.6

GW: 160 (but i may lower that when I get closer and see how hot i am Wink)

I've been right about the same weight for a week, but I have a feeling that the scale is going to start going down again.  ::crosses fingers... and toes!::

Great job Supernan!! That takes serious willpower. :D

C-andice - you and I are almost twins. I'm SW 301 * CW 295 * GW 180 and I'm 6'0"

Welcome!!

It's so good to know I'm not alone in this battle, even at the weight I'm at.

thanks, longwaytogo--i have added my activity points to the burn meter, but i have decided not to let that affect the way i calculate calories--in other words, i'm not counting them.

i did the 30 day shred two days last week, but i have a foot injury that makes my whole right side off kilter, therefore my back was in agony the rest of the week, so i stopped.  my bike was in the shop last week, but i got it back today and tonight after dinner, i did a short 5 mile sprint--avg about 15mph.

i have also been studying my analysis of my daily grade and am trying to make some small changes in my percentages and sodium intake.  i have been eating about 40gr fiber for a month now, and have not really seen any difference from that and am curious as to why.  today my final calorie count was 1378 (after a weekend of high numbers--i really cheated yesterday and ate lots of chocolate....)  my final burn will be around 2758, and this is the biggest deficit i've ever had.  i will eat at least 1500 calories tomorrow.  we will see how this week goes.  thanks for the encouragement.

to all the newbies--welcome and good luck!!!  i'd love to buddy with anyone wanting to lose about 120lbs.  take care!

I'm part of one challenge on here and had weighed myself yesterday at 241 lbs (gw 140) but decided to jump on this morning because it's the challenge weigh-in day and I was down another pound! That makes me exactly 100 lbs to my goal weight!!! It's double digits to lose after this! Woohoo! I'm excited anyway, lol.

Sweet!! I love having twins!! *does the not-alone dance*

Happy to report a good weekly weigh in - 2 pounds!  I am now down 46 pounds since January and 16 pound since starting CC (2/13).  I am feeling much better and have alot more energy.  The other day I was tying my shoes and didn't realize it I actually lifted my foot to the top of my washer to tie it until my son said "Mom look what your doing I didn't think you could stretch that far!"  That made me feel GREAT.

He's my "personal trainer"  he's 15 and just started his first year of high school football which I have now learned never stops.  So he is really into weight training, running, etc.  He's always had a chubby problem, but has really grown and developed through his workouts and likes to bring home new exercises for me.  He's also good on the nights I don't feel like working out or I want to eat something.  His inspirational words that really get to me "Mom don't be fat and lazy get moving or you're going to get fatter if you eat that!"  Not too delicate, but just what I need to get motivated (and he only would say that to me at home in private).

Congrats on the weigh in. Glad you have a motivating son at your side - it is amazing what can happen to teenage boys overnight!
Wow, if you want some exercise and get your heart rate up, have your 3 year old chase you for an entire kids' song on noggin.com !! Sheesh, I was being slow of course chasing her, but she was on full force to catch me and gosh darn it, I had to really run!! And our house has several steps up and down into different room levels so it was extra tiring.. I started to wonder if the song would ever end. LOL

ON the subject of eating, I'm a real stress eater. And I also eat just because I truly enjoy the 'art of eating'. I'm like a good conessieur. Not just the tastes, but textures, new integration of foods, aromas, etc.. it's bad for me, lol. I'll always love food I just have to choose what and when :) And I'm a sweet nut, too. I'm like my dad and if we have debbie cakes or doughnuts or cupcakes around.. we'll go through them in half a day or less! It's crazy! Oh well.. on to healthier living and living healthy :)

Hi Jerichocheyenne.  I have been out of pocket alot the last 2 weeks staying with my 87 yr old mother in law.  since my computer is at home I haven't had time to post. So good to see all of you coming along.  I got good news on friday.  The dr. let me get out of my second back brace and said I could start core strengthening and back strengthening. I was excited. He also smiled very big when he saw me and the weight loss since last month was very obvious. He told me that he was very proud of me ( and since he told me there was no way he thought I could lose without a lap band or gastric by pass- that was sweet).  He now says that he thinks I will be the 2nd person he has had that he did spinal surgery on that needed to lose alot of weight that did it without surgery.  He thinks I can do it by the end of the year.  I have to tell you all that having you all to inspire and relate to has helped me immensely.  I am up to walking 3-4 miles a day now.        ; I will post with my weight in another post. can't remember what I was  upon starting with cc, but my actual starting weight was 275-280.  I am now at 235.   Hope to be at 200 by end of summer and 160 by then end of the year.      welcome to all the newbies and glad to see old friends here too.... penny

mommalori, that is awesome to such a great support in your son. Wicked cool that he was able to recognize your NSV when you didn't! Kids can be brutal, yet our biggest cheerleaders! Love it.

steph, I completely understand about chasing or dancing with the kids during a Nick Jr. (or Disney Playhouse) song. I have a 6 yr old & 2 yr old who LOVe dancing & playing chase. WHEW! You're right tho, it is a great mini workout!

WOW penny, that is FABULOUS!! You should be so proud & I am thrilled your Dr. recognized your amazing progress!

Today was day 2 of walking with Leslie Sansone. I shocked hubby, as he wasn't expecting me to be up & exercising when I didn't have to be. HAHA (to be honest, it still surprises me! lol)

Good morning .

Really shooting for a goal of 2lbs this week - so far 1.2 down, .8 to go  by next Monday.   I think when I was younger that would be so small and I would be looking at how far away the end was instead of making it on hour at a time and just accepting that is how we have to do this.

Got another busy weekend coming up.  Dog training all day Saturday and Sunday morning, boat training.  Gotta come up with a good system for dog training days since I can't run my numbers then.   How do you track them when you are not near a computer?  I work on one all day so it is easy and I rarely use paper for ANYTHING anymore.

Be good, weekend is coming up on us :) Nancy

Good job Nancy!  You can do it...:)

I know what you mean about the paper thing. I think this process is so much easier for me this time because I AM using the computer and keeping all my numbers in one place. I have a binder made up with my numbers in it too...but I don't track as faithfully there as I do online. However, I guess it will do if I was away from home or a computer for any length of time. Now that I think of it though...I think that's why I never liked keeping a food journal. It's just not as convenient. Perhaps that's why I'm actually losing weight now...got rid of the excuses. Tongue out But if I had to for just a day...the binder would do.

Have fun with the dog training!

I know! Isn't that a great feeling? I can see how people can become addicted to exercise and almost obsessed with healthy eating. It's empowering to feel like this...I'm loving it. Well...most of the time anyway. Tongue out

Yesterday was Secretaries Day and the Chief gave me some chocolates bon bons. Frown I shared with the rest of the office instead of eating any. I know I probably could have had one and gotten away with it but I had already went over my calorie intake. To be honest, I don't trust myself yet. Chocolate is my drug of choice...and if I have one I might get hooked again. LOL! I know...extreme analogy but sometimes that's how I feel about it. I guess for me it's an all or nothing thing. In the past I've been put to the test and failed so I don't even want to dip my foot in the pool for fear of falling in.

If you need to be away from home and can't keep a count on here if you're doing that after every meal, then prepare you own stuff or look up online what calories will be in the food served to have an idea. Packing your own is always a good idea, typically cheaper, and you know what it's in it....

  just a thought ..

I think where I fall of when I travel [I do take my own lunch - love that tuna in a bag stuff with WASA crispbread even though it is high in sodium] is eating out with friends and we don't know where - or eating at their house.

I am thinking - skinless baked (or grilled) chicken or fish and vegetables or a basic salad + grilled chicken with dressing on the side is pretty safe [just keep away from the cheese and croutons] and will be easy to add - going to take a flip up memo pad.  same for excercise [usually a LOT] and accept that there will be a bigger defecit those days.
