for all you people affraid of being a little naughty
i ate a ton of chocolate and drank a really lot of booze on a binge and ate a full pizza to my self and the next few days i was 4lbs heavier(184lbs!!) but a week and half on im back on track with a 2lb loss :) which put me down to 178 lbs.
dont be affraid of over eating every once in a while it wont effect you as much as you think.
haha you're totally right :) yesterday I ate a lot of chocolate mousse, and a rather large dinner and felt kinda mat at myself, but then I logged it and found out that my intake was the same as my burned calories so it didn't matter! :P
it might even be good to eat a lot sometimes so the metabolism stays high haha :D

You're so right! I had Godiva Chocolates and coffee for breakfast on mother's day. It was fabulous, but I too saw a 3lb spike up on the scale. We week later it's gone, plus a little more.
I my metabolism is a little stronger and when I do overeat it's not nearly as much as I would have before CC.
Usually when I break my diet and eat away, I avoid the scale for at least a week so I never even see the spike. :P
I tried to go with out eating the junkie stuff, and I did good for the first 2 weeks. Last week was another story. I went overborad for a few days. The good news was that for the week I only gained .5 lbs., and that is with my lady time coming in the same week. I have decided to make a day where I can eat what I want so that I don't do this every few weeks.
I've had a peculiar thing happen many times. I have one of those mini plateaus where my weight doesn't shift for a couple of weeks. I get frustrated and have a high calorie day, and within the next day or two I drop a couple of pounds. I think it has to do with starvation mode. The extra calories allow your body to release the fat it's been holding onto for preservation.
So now I allow myself treats. My favorite is 1/2 cup of Ben & Jerry's Go Lightly ice cream - 200 calories. However, I have to have it when I can share that pint with somebody because if there is any left, I will eat it, one spoon at a time.
Excellent point. We all need a break from time to time. The only thing is to be careful it's only once in awhile and you get right back to it the next day. I find a "cheat" now and then helps me to be stronger. I save my cheats for when I go out to dinner or to a friend's house. We don't go out much, so this works for me.
The big thing I am doing this time which I was unable to do in the past is I actually get right back to being 100% good the next day. In the past, a day of cheating has led to a week then a month. For me, letting myself have a day off once in a while seems to be working. I have lost 63 1/2 pounds to date and I plan on continuing this trend.
This is my favourite post. It gives me hope! :)
Alcohol is my downfall... in a bottle of peach schnapps, two thousand one hundred calories.
Bad times, but good post.
yep - whenever i have one of those overindulgent weekends (usually becaue i'm away on hols or have visitors or parties) the scales do an initial jump up but a week later i'm usually less than before the spike - whether thats because i slightly compensate for the excess (not too bad a thing!) or i'm just losing the waterweight from the alcohol, who knows. still, either way, its not a big deal.
I totally binged at my senior prom.
~A full salad with lightly breaded chicken
~Half of my friend's baked spaghetti plate
~A brownie
~A heck of a lot of negative calorie fruits and veggies
~ 2 chocolate chip cookies
~2 chocolate balls (the kind with the nuts on the outside and the soft chocolate on the inside)
I only gained a pound and a half, but if I binged on some thing other than the fruit, I would've never forgiven myself. >< And I spared only 800 calories just for the dinner. ^^;;
welp.
this was my birthday weekend and i WAYYYY Overconsumed.
3/4 of an 11,000 calorie carrot cake... yeah, you do the math.
then the next day, somebody ELSE baked me a carrot cake and i ate 2 pieces of that.
and entire tray of pizza, ice cream, etc.
6 pounds gained in 3 days.
im not upset about the food, it was well worth it... but my body is basically in shock right now because it isn't used to all the sugar and fat and i feel like crap...hopefully i can get right back on track.
I went out for hibachi last night, then got ice cream, then had a couple drinks, THEN some elfudge cookies. Yeah, you gotta live once in a while.
Hi,
i ate a lot of icecream & chockolate yesterday, was in a really bad mood , felt like giving up my diet , but this morning i got up,went on the scales (i do it once a week every monday ) and it showed that i lost 0.7 kg , so i,m not giving up :) i know that there is a big chance that i will not lose any weight this week cos of yesterday , but i might lose more week after :)

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
