all 20s girls want to lose 50 lb in 25 weeks
i am new at CC . i really love the idea of healthy free forum where there is actually helpful feedback and valuable data
yet i really need continous motivation as most of us do
i am on my final year medical school so in few month am gonna be very busy and need to remain on track
i have been dieting consistantly for 3 weeks and already reached plateau
so i need people with same goals so we could help each other reach our aims
2 lb a week is a healthy target specially for those having to lose more than that
so if u want to join this challenge leave your data as follows
*name
*age
*sex
*height
*starting weight (sat mar 28th09)
*goal weight ( by sep 19th) -50, more or less

Willing to join. I'd already lost over 10 pounds, and my 50 pounds temporary goal is set for August 19th - so it'll be another 10 pounds for the additional month, and that's that ;)

That'll take me 10 pounds closer to my 150, or a bit less, overall goal ;) I have a large frame and I'm kind of muscular (skating will do that), so that take me splat in the middle of my healthy BMI range if I input my frame and current fat percentage.
In my defense, I completely lost the link to this place, so it's not like I was avoiding it ;)

Yay Rachael for a pound lost and your entry into the 190s! It is so great to break through those little sticking points on the scale. I started CC at around 215 and it wasn't long ago that I was doing the 199-happy-dance myself!
My Sat weigh-in:
*SW: 193
*CW: 191
*GW: 145
And on spring break, no less; hopefully the upcoming quarter will be just as kind!
I am in my twenties and would like to lose two pounds per week.(At my heaviest,I was 215.)Height 5'2 cw:133 gw:108.I'm down 3lbs since last saturday. Are we weighing in every Saturday?
at my heaviest I was 220. my smallest I got down to 129 and looked a little sick- I will be happy to come close to that though- my suggested weight is 123- in reality- with having put this body through 3 kids and yoyo diets I am grateful to be doing this right with similar folks and the support I don't think I had before.
rachel:
congrats on the 1 lb -every step down is an achievement-
also for corey on 2 lbs
diamond
ur welcome to join and u go girl such an achievement
and yes we r weighing in every sat starting next week
as for Amanda
i believe what u r saying is true my lowest was 145 and i really was happy with my body though my ideal as a small frame was below 130
but still watch out for people undermining your efforts by saying u r losing 2 fast or u look sick or unhealthy if u know u r on z right track
p.s.
it is obvious that people who have already lost much weight or have been dieting for a long time wouldnt b able to lose as fast as they used to at the beginning so i think we shouldnt beat ourselves up if we dont meet the goal as long as one has given 110% effort
Sarah, I just had the thought that it might be nice to keep the initial starting weights on the roster and just alter the current weights as we lose. That way, we can always tell where we came from (so to speak) and how far we have left to go.
It would look something like:
*Corey *26F   ; *Ht:5'6" *SW:193 *CW:191 *GW: 145
and then each week the CW value would be replaced with a lower # (gotta keep the optimism, here!). Just an idea.
Thanks for doing this, btw!
Go team 20-something!
Congrats to everybody!
SW: 194
CW: 191
Goal: was 150 but I've decided to ghange it to 145 (yay healthy BMI!)
Good luck this week! I'm finally starting bac to the gym tomorrow! (Spring Break kind of killed my momentum lol)
I'd love to participate. As they say, there's strength in numbers.
