all 20s girls want to lose 50 lb in 25 weeks
i am new at CC . i really love the idea of healthy free forum where there is actually helpful feedback and valuable data
yet i really need continous motivation as most of us do
i am on my final year medical school so in few month am gonna be very busy and need to remain on track
i have been dieting consistantly for 3 weeks and already reached plateau
so i need people with same goals so we could help each other reach our aims
2 lb a week is a healthy target specially for those having to lose more than that

I did really well when I first started here last May. I lost nearly 30 pounds by August. In September my cat started to go into kidney failure (at nearly 20 years of so I'd known him almost all of my life). I focused more on making him comfortable than on my weight loss (which I don't regret) and even after losing him in November I haven't been able to get back into the groove.
Currently my husband and I are about to both be unemployed to due mass layoffs here. I'll have time to focus on my eating patterns and exercising but I'll also be facing a drastically reduced budget and more stress.

the turn out is gr8 we r now 17 which sure can help us stick only 2 days for the weighing and am really excited about our results
stephanie i am really astonished with how much ur data resembels mine 5'5", 23 y sw 206 and goal 130 by march too but i think having short term goals is more helpful specially that i know from many other trials of weight loss that the final 25 lbs are usually the hardest and actually i havent been below 155 for about 7-8 years
so i believe that if u lose 50 lbs in this 50 weeks hopefully you ll have about 24-25 weeks to lose the remaing 25 lbs by mar 2010

Hope you are having a great week! Just wanted to let let you know that I might not be able to weigh in on Saturday but I'm hoping to. (I'll post again if I can.)
I'm dealing with some issues (roomies, school, etc.). Nothing too serious but just very stressful at the moment. I have noticed that I am handling my stress differently now though. Instead of eating and getting depressed, I have been allowing my self to eat portions of things I want IF I go to the gym. This is a big step. Yay!
As of this afternoon, I weigh 189.

it is Sat morning and I weighed in at 173.8
I did do a ton of sit ups yesterday and I am PMSing I think- so maybe next week will be better- I stayed in my range and did some exercise for most of the week.
Current weight is 209. I didn't eat as well as I should have this week due to the layoff. New week, plenty of time, new start.
CW is 179. Lost a pound. I was hoping for two, but I'll take it. I hope all of you had a good week. It feels good to be working out again. :)
Weight this week-- 229. Pound and a half ain't bad even though I wanted 2.

Hey everyone! I only lost 0.8...not even a lb. :( Guess i'm going to have to work even harder next week. I lost 2 lbs midweek but i guess i couldn't keep it all off.
Congrats to everyone that lost weight!! Those who didn't reach their goal, keep working, you might not have lost weight but you might have gained muscle, so don't get discouraged. Keep up the hard work everyone! I know we can all do it!

I am at 190 today, although of course I would prefer to be down another pound.
I'm actually really second-guessing my strategy right now, as I started looking around at BMR calculators on the web and they say I should eat at least in the neighborhood of 1660 - a figure 360 cal higher than my current average (at which I am comfortable). Anyone else have the counterintuitive problem of eating too little?

newmama13 and ercialy: last week i lost only one lb also. but i weighed myself a couple days later after my work out and i was down another 1.5 then today i'm down another 2.5 so don't give up hope! i know what it's like to feel that you haven't accomplished much but it IS an accomplishment and congratulations for working toward your goal! and like sarah told me last week "every step down is an achievement!"
