Quote  |  Reply

i am new at CC . i really love the idea of healthy free forum where there is actually helpful feedback and valuable data

yet i really need continous motivation as most of us do

i am on my final year medical school so in few month am gonna be very busy and need to remain on track

i have been dieting consistantly for 3 weeks and already reached plateau

so i need people with same goals so we could help each other reach our aims

*name

*age

*sex

*starting weight (sat mar 28th09)

*goal weight ( by sep 19th) -50, more or less

Congrats ladies!

I weighed in at 201 (- 4 pounds!).

This is way too much information but I always weigh more during my cycle which was last week so I think it's mostly a water weight difference, not actual fat loss. I'll still take it though, lol.

Good luck this week you guys!! I know we can do this!

congrats everyone lost 2 lbs or not or even gained at least you know you r now at the right track

last week i gained a pound though i was super commited

but this week it really paid off , i lost 4.5 lbs and only 2 lbs away from being below 200 - for hopefully last time in my life

i know that this could b also coz i exercised lot less this week

i probably ll also not exercise much next week - big test next thurs

any way those he didnt send feedbacks on their weight hope it is all ok and plz dont b discouraged to input if u gained or didnt lose as much as u wanted

this is the point of this to share the downs b4 the ups

am very happy for you guys and hope we can keep up the good work

according to all the things I enter and do I am supposedly burning more than I am eating but am not losing anything- and somedays I am heavier- any suggestions?

Hi, sorry to be late in joining, but only want to lose 40 pounds, so, I'm on the same track. I'm a 55 year old, 5'3" female, weighing today 157. I'm very discouraged because I just won't try consistently. I don't understand what's wrong with me, but it's not JUST weight that is getting short shrift from me. I'm struggling with diligence in lots of areas. I did get a whopping case of chicken pox in January, and that put a damper on my efforts. Was just looking for a group to help me remember that I'm on a diet!   Please don't see "dummie" and think it's a reflection of low self-esteem. My last name is Dumm.

dear amanda

the reason i started this topic was actually coz i gained weight on my third week dieting though i was tryng hardest ever

also since saturday i gained 1.5 lbs and i am not even eating the CC suggestions

at first i was very stressed about and got really emotional then i started to see things in prospective when i looked at all the success stories here and saw that their weight logs never were straight all the way down the way has many pumbs you should find another standards to track your success

i keep track of my measurments now and the week i gained i actually lost 3/4 " off my waistline

also look at your energy self-esteem , motination<FITNESS.....

Hi Amanda,

What is your daily deficit?  I had mine at about 1000 and lost for a while but then stagnated.  I recently increased my caloric intake, giving me a deficit of about 800, and the weight is now coming off much more rapidly (weird, huh?).  Maybe you are not eating enough to convince your body that it can shed fat.

my daily deficit is usually at least 1000 and it isn't working for me. we will see how this week ends.

I would try not to go over a 1000 deficit and you might consider reducing it further if you are still frustrated at the end of the week.  I was really resistant to increase my intake because I was satisfied at 1200 cal (and sometimes even struggled to get to my calorie goal) and felt like adding more food would only slow down my weight loss.  Plus, I was convinced that I had a freakishly low metabolism and that the CC calorie targets were too high.  When I realized that my weight loss had stagnated even at the lower calorie target I figured why not just try eating a little more and see what happens.  I moved to 1300 and didn't see much difference, then moved to 1400 several days ago and have consistently seen the scale go down every day.  We'll see if it keeps up at the Sat. weigh-in!

I'm weighing in early because of weekend plans.

CW: 227 (-2 pounds!)

I've lost a total of 20 pounds now since I started in late January. Woooot! :)

hey y'all.

i stayed the same this week.i'm seriously surprised i didn;t gain at least 2 pounds.  i quit counting wednesday, so the last few days have kinda hurt the weight loss. too much stress (finals soon), too little time to plan meals, and too many Reese's eggs!! :(

i stopped going to the gym too. i'm really going to try to go every day next week. it gives me time to read for class and the cute guy at the desk is great motivation!! lol

hope your week went better than mine!

MILESTONE ALERT!~

I'm finally under the 200 pound mark. Woot woot!  I'm down a complete 40 pounds... only 53 more to go.  Blegh! lol.

my scale was out of batteries this morning so i have no weigh in today.

congrats on breaking 200, kimaloo!

Erica: Yay for another two pounds lost and your impressive results in 2009 so far!

Victoria: Just maintaining in the presence of Reese's eggs is a pretty mighty achievement, if you ask me...  Next week may be my demise, what with all the discounted goodies ;)

Kimberly: Congrats! That is a major milestone - I hope you are going to use the weekend to celebrate!

My update...

CW: 187 (-3)

Eating a little more seems to be doing me well so far!

Thanks and congrats to you too!  I definitely celebrated today.  My BF and I went to a baseball game and I had foot long Sabretts hot dog and cotton candy at the ball park. Yum! It was so worth it.  :o)

New to CC, started dieting two weeks ago. CW is 169. Its nice to know others are going through the hunger pains to get back on track with healthy living!

I went to the gym yesterday! Did an hour on the treadmill at my regular pace  (3.5 mph) with an incline but I think I'm starting to get used to that so next week i'm going to try intervals and add the elliptical back in.

I was planning to go today, but it's closed for Easter.

How do y'all exercise?

I have a treadmill at home that I do 30 minutes a day on, usually 3-4 times a week for my cardio.  I run it on the weight loss program that does the HIIT. It kicks my *** but I can definitely see/feel the results.

I also got a new routine out of Prevention magazine that I want to try that goes between the cardio and a muscle toning program. It's supposed to really work and slim the midsection which is where I need it the most.

Hi everyone!  Sorry for such a delayed post...it's been a CRAZY weekend.  I'm up 2 lbs...but it's also the week i bloat like crazy (week before my period...sorry if it's TMI).  We'll see how it goes...

Congrats Kimberly!  That's amazing!!!  To everyone that lost CONGRATS!!  It's always exciting to lose!  To those that didn't, keep up the hard work and don't get discouraged, we'll all reach our goals.

Sorry for the late post...my computer keeps crashing and I can't figure out why.

I am down to 207.8 as of the weekend so -0.8.

new batteries for the scale and i'm down to 190!! that's 5lbs gone this last week, hooray!!

congrats to everyone else too
