i am new at CC . i really love the idea of healthy free forum where there is actually helpful feedback and valuable data

yet i really need continous motivation as most of us do

i am on my final year medical school so in few month am gonna be very busy and need to remain on track

i have been dieting consistantly for 3 weeks and already reached plateau

so i need people with same goals so we could help each other reach our aims

2 lb a week is a healthy target specially for those having to lose more than that

so if u want to join this challenge leave your data as follows

as for me after lots of drama am down to 186 that's 31 lbs since march :)

im weighing in early this week. more bad news for me. i put on another pound. it doesnt make sense, im double counting my calories - 1200 a day. im exercising every day without fail. my fitness has improved a lot even in the past week but the scales just show me getting heavier. SO frustrated. its winter here in australia, does that effect metabolisms? any advice?

Hey Bek - sorry you aren't having more luck with the scale; sometimes it isn't great measure of your actual successes.  Have you considered eating more?  I can't imagine that 1200 kcal is enough given your height; I am 9 cm shorter than you and average 1450 kcal/day.

my weigh in this week is 214.2 so I'm down 1.6 but I have been hovering from 213-215 for the last three weeks going down and then back up.  I'm not eating as well as I should be and havn't done much excercise so I know why I'm not losing I just need to get back on track

this week i wasnt at all dieting

i hardly had any deficit on most days and didnt count ( 1st time since i joined CC)

yet i lost 0.5 lb , am not pumped about it , am just happy i didnt gain

the good news is that i had tons of comments this week on weight loss

actually no one but my family knows of my plan so it was kinda of cool

also i went shopping for clothes for the first time since i started and for the first time i didnt find any difficulty fitting into stuff , i had the advantage of saying it fits but i just dont like it ;)

congrats sarah!

i'm down to 189.5 this week. hopefully it will continue this way b/c i'm tired of yo-yo-ing!

Jacqueline - congrats on 1.6 lost! try to focus on the trend and less on fluctuations, which are just unavoidable.

Sarah - glad you are getting positive comments and that you managed to lose .5 without even counting!

Victoria - congrats on the loss; hopefully the numbers will continue to fall!

Im late to a weigh in! Im sorry - crazy crazy week. any way i finally have good news. i weighed in this morning (monday) at 164 pounds!!! hurray. so a loss of 2.5 pounds. hopefully the end of the pleateau has arrived. im gonna keep running cause its obviously working. well done the rest of you that lost weight!

Wow, thought I only missed one weigh in.  Down to 204.4 so that makes me -4.2.

Bek: Hurray, indeed!  What a relief - hopefully it will keep up

Laura: Glad you are back, and having made awesome progress!

My current weight is 167, 4.4 pounds less than last week.  My weight didn't move for about 10 days and then it was TTOTM, so I think this week I'm suddenly reaping the rewards for the last couple of weeks.  I'll take it!

Also, this is my lowest adult weight ever.  From here on out, I'm venturing in uncharted territory... ;)

Sorry I missed Saturday. I keep going up and down but I fell better than i did. That doesn't really make sense to me but oh well. (TTom is close) I'm figuring that's why my weight is so screwy.

Good news---- my sister is getting married!!! YAAAAAY!! I'm excited for them. Wearinga bridesmaid's dress will definitely be good motivation to stay at the gym! lol

mighty mouse and coreyander -well done!!! you are both machines. i wieghed in this morning and am back at 167. Grrrr! i know ive put on muscle, my running times are getting faster and faster. but my body doesnt seem to be burning fat... i think ill talk to a personal trainer.

My weight has been all over the place lately and I wonder if my metabolism is adjusting, but I'm still pushing on. I hope everyone is staying motivated despite the occasional (or not so occasional) setback!

ok, reporting late as always. i went on holidays and had WAY too much fun. I put on 4 pounds! just on the BMI verge of overweight again. cringe, time to get back on the horse.

really miss u and happy to c u on track

i have been on a downhill 4 the past 2 month or so

i havent been counting first coz i havent got time

then my pc was down 4 a while and i purpously didnt fix

there was a lot going on including exams and classes round the clock

i have been binging big time like i never thought i d do again - i ve been super good for about 4 month -

first i told myself it is ok i can maintain and then start fresh but that was a lie

the scale went up little by little i said it is my period then oh it is water weight ...

 

i now realize am gaining weight - am now 182 after being below 175 a month ago-

am ready to get back on the wagon though it is a very critical time as my finals start in little over a month - 1 day after my birthday - which really sucks

but i got three weeks left in this challenge and i intend to at least go back to 175 and starting tomorrow i ll count again and stop binging

that is far from my goal -20lbs-

but at least it will mean am over 30 lbs closer than when i started

sorry for going on this long

i just am frustrated with myself and needed to let go of some feelings
