Hear any good ones before?

I knew a very loved female pitbull named "Butt-Head", met an Australian Shepherd named "Gouda", a pair of cats named "James Woods & Matt Dillon", a pair of mutts named "Squid & True", and a Basset Hound named "Sluggo". Oh and I can't forget my childhood cat "Kablooey".

Tickles (a cat)

My current pets are Daisy (mom) and Lefty...(son)

Lefty, became Lefty when my husband sold all of his siblings in one day, and he was the only one "left" ( he felt sorry for him so he kept him)

My parents have had cats"Chips" ( a yellowish cat) and "Salsa" (black, brown, white redish cat)

and my brother had a cat named "Dogg"

OHOHOH!! I forgot I had a pet white tail deer as a child "Boots", my dad ran over the mom shortly after she gave birth with the tractor total accident.... and Boots was not as big as my dad's boot.

My current cat is named Ari.  I used to have one named Mordechai, Morty for short, but he passed. Also have 2 cockatiels named Rizzo and Knicke.

I have a dog named Samuel Rufus Wainwright III, aka Sammy, that now lives with my dad in Houston.

My sister has a cat named Fitzgaren (sp?), and a cockatiel named Rogue.

My mom has 2 toy poodles, Cinnamon and Sir Hopscotch II aka Hoppy.

My dog growing up was named Pooper

My best friend has a cat named Goliath aka Catzilla.

My other friend has a cat named Nebula.

I met two turkeys at an animal rescue farm named Kevin and Carl.  They were so sweet.  They are best friends, practically joined at the hip, and followed us around for the entire day  They gobbled simultaneously every 10 minutes or so.

One of my cats has the name of "Superpet".

When a stray came around, we called her "Nu", because, well, she was new.  She soon had a batch of kittens and the three boys were "Orange", "Grey" and "Saddam".  The girl was called..."Girl".

Of course now that we've had "Nu" for 6 years, her name doesn't really apply. Tongue out

We had three cockatiels named Snap, Crackle, and Pop.

Our parrot's name is Risa (means "laugh" or "laughter" in Spanish).

We have 9 cats... Rusty, Echo, Butler, Rhonan, Hershey, Daisy, Tucker, Tori, and Ranger.

Our dogs are Sara, Cody, Pebbles, and Micah.

Oh, we have a 'possum named Maggie, and three squirells named Annie, Penny, and Daryl.

These are just a few of many, many animals over the years....  oh, yeah, we used to have a cat named Sh*tty Kitty, because when we got her, she had raging diahrrea

My cat Pippin (names after Pippin from Lord of the Rings)

My horse Tequila Rose (My whole family took shots of Tequila when we got her and I had a rose in my hair... So strange)

Then my dog Charlie (deceased)(He got his name....I dunno how he got his name.)

Then my goldfish (haha) His name is Godzilla. Haha don't ask about that one.. Its a long story.

Then my two birds who are also deceased Sassy and Buddy. Sassy got her name because she was mean and bit people a lot and Buddy got his name because he was so sweet and he was my buddy. haha

Oh yeah and the squirrel who is always in my back yard... I named him nutsy fitszpatrick IV. The name came to me in a dream. lmao haha

My dog's name is Trogdor.

My dog's name is gei-ddong-ie ("dog poop" in Korean).

My best friend, growing up, had an Australian shepherd named "Dammit".

Her parents told me they couldn't think of a name for him when he was a puppy until someone pointed out that they always followed his orders with "Dammit".

"Come here, Dammit"

"Get down, Dammit"

"Get my newspaper, Dammit"

So they figured it they might as well name him. Dammit.

Skookum was the name of my horse.

My friend has a fish named "Billy Ocean"

I named my cat "Hoggle" after the Labrinth Troll. Called him Hoggs.

I used to have 2 guinea pigs named Dinky and Snu

I have a jack russell named Ruscal McLarikan (Larry for short).

I have two cats called Robin Hood and Little John (short forms: Robin and Johnny). There was also Friar Tuck, but this one found another home.

And our oldest cat is called Major Major - like in "Catch 22".

My friend had a tabby/siamese cross cat that was not very attractive (to say the least) - hence his name "Ug-Mo" - short for Ugly Mother-F**

I knew a border collie named Bubba

I had a Golden Retriever named Ascomb, I named him, that because people would come up to me when he was a puppy and say oh what a cute puppy what's his name and I would say...Ask him. I hadn't after all come up with a good name and some small part of me hoped he would look at them matter of factly and say Joe... this never did happen so my standard reply was eventually converted to Ascomb, he was happy.

My current Goldie's name is not so creative we got her at Christmas her name is Noel, her nickname given by my daughter is unusual though she shortened Noel and calls her Welly.

I've had a lot of rats over the years (sadly they do not live long) but the ones who's names got remarked about the most were:

Weeble: When she was a baby she wobbled a lot walking around the cage. But she didn't fall down! So her name was weeble after the toy who's logo was "weebles wobble but they don't fall down!"

Hypatia: Named after the librarian at Alexandria. I mean, before it was burned to the ground and she was cut into pieces. Hypatia the Rat, by contrast, died peacefully of old age.

Tipareth: This is the name of the sphere represnting beauty in the Kabbalah. Occultists think it's the greatest name ever, everyone else asks me "What does THAT mean?"

Knives: If you're an indy comics nerd you know this is the name of a character in the "Scott Pilgrim" books, if not, you just think it's either odd or funny. I just thought it was a cool name. My roommate thought Knives the Rat was so cute and tame and harmless that she should be called "Butterknives" instead.

My boyfriends family used to have a pet raccoon named Squirt because he has a poo problem, like the aforemention **** kitty.

K named her cat Epiphany.

I think that's a strange name for any pet.

My dog's name is Trogdor.

Laughing

TRROOOOOOOGGGDDDOOOOORRRR!!!

These aren't really odd but...

My cats are Ollie (Man Cat is his nickname because he loves to sit on men or Doll Cat because he's so pretty and his nose turns pink when you pet him) and Zeus (Mumpy is his nickname because he has a skin condition that causes him to lose hair so what fur he does have looks lumpy).

My dog is Poppy, when he was a pup and would run around his little ears would pop up and down, he was so cute.  What happened?

How can I make walking fun?

You have to find a way to make exercise fun or else you won't do it. If you walk indoors on a treadmill, I recommend moving outdoors into the fresh air... Read more
