to all those women out there! help...
Ive tried shaving it with normal shaving cream, 1. against the grain, 2. with the grain, and neither works. Ive bought some Sensitive skin bikini NAIR but i have yet to use it.
any suggestions?
Shaving is bad!!
for shaving..google "coochie cream" yeah yeah ha ha funny..but it seriously works..and doubles as a hair conditioner...that product is a miracle...no red bumps..
and make sure to use a new razor and do it that same day so you dont have stubble...
ive used other shaving creams...nothing worked but that stuff...
I shave quite often and it seems to have gotten used to it, it no longer gets red. I use Alba cream, I am going to check out the coochie cream though, thanks skebudge. I am too shy to go for a wax.
I personally wax myself. It hurts like a bitch, but its worth it to me to not have little shavy bumps. Just make sure that if you wax, follow the directions exactly or it may not work out right. I once heated it too long and burned myself horribly. Ripping the wax off the burn was worse than the burn itself. But, I guess you learn from your mistakes right?
Waxing is the best. The hair grows back less thick and it takes longer to grow back. The skin can get irritated from waxing so like someone else said, do it a couple days before you're going to wear the bikini.
I shave b/c it's cheaper. I shave my bikini line every day. A long time ago I heard that if you do it every day then you won't get the little bumps and stuff. And I've never had the bumps or irritation. So although it's a pain at times to do it every day, for me it works!
For after the shave, look for Olay (or maybe it's Dove?) bath lotion. It's a lotion you put on in the shower and it rinses off, leaving your skin really soft. I use that down there to keep ugly little red bumps at bay. After shaving for so long, I rarely get irritation.
