Are All Women Sexist?
Now then, that I have your attention.
I've noticed a most frustrating attitude among some members of the female community that seems to come down to "I/my female bretheren am better than the entire male sex." I won't say it's all of you, but it's enough women (and in enough posts) that one could begin to see a pattern.
So what say you Women? Are you Sexist? Is it just a small minority among you? Is it just a maturity thing, that as women mature they grow wisdom and see men as no longer the enemy?
Why so many angry, bitter feelings towards a whole sex? Are we, the men on this site, to believe that just because a handful of men may have done you wrong that the entire sex has done you wrong, included those whom have never met you?
Discuss.
hahaha yay drama thread. i'm so ready.
Sexist? Nope, not me, I'm a fan of man, every lushes inch of them.
Clearly men are superior.

Most likely, but at least keep in mind that the actual post accuses SOME women of Sexism. :) I am just an attention whore ;)
I can't speak for all women, though.
I don't think I'm sexist.
I do believe that men and women, in general, have different strengths and weaknesses. I've been rebuked for saying as much.
I also believe that each person is unique and no one fits the generalities entirely.
I think there might be a bit of a bias on this site due to the large female demographic. Anytime you get a large group of chickens together, they will joke about roosters. Same goes for roosters.
I also think, as our sex has been oppressed, discriminated against, and generally thought of as inferior for thousands of years, now that things are evening out, there's quite a score to settle. It's similar to the way that many minorities feel about "white" people. I don't think it is sexism, so much as self promotion and preservation.
As for my personal feelings. Yes, I'm sexist. Men are useless. Personally, I think the only reason men historically have more power in the world is because they were PHYSICALLY stronger. I think for the most part, women are superior in every other aspect. Maybe their minds had to get sharper because their bodies weren't?!
Edit: I have to disclaim that I have _zero_ female friends... so I'm not sure that my self proclaimed title as a sexist stands.... I can definately see both sides of the argument though.
Why so many angry, bitter feelings towards a whole sex?
Enough women as a whole have encountered enough (male) a-holes that they have formed a very biased opinion against the male sex.
Now, this isn't a fact, this is my opinion taken from talking with friends/family/internet buddies about this same phenomenon. Why are 'we' as women angry? Because a large amount of the men we meet are selfish, shallow pricks.
Now...why do a large amount of men out there deem it okay to reduce a woman to nothing more than her breasts, vagina and butt?
On both parts it's a failing in society, a lack of respect, and a general under-education about the opposite sex.
That said I think both are somewhat sexist. Not always in a hurtful way - but it is impossible not to develop some opinions about the opposite sex, in general, based on one's own experiences.

I can say without a doubt I have been crapped on in every way by a few females in my life.
I don't think I am sexist(I am 23f), but imo there are a lot of sexist women. Probably similar to the number of sexist men.

Yep. Same.
I had a couple of really psychotic exes too. :p Messed me up good.
As I matured, however, I finally realized that not all women were that messed up or that bad. Hence why I hit the maturity angle. I wonder if it doesn't at least mostly come down to maturity.
I think there's a lot of double standards out there, but I definitely know that not all women are sexist. I mean, I know I'm not sexist..., but I guess I can't speak for everyone.
When I've had to deal with discrimination because of my gender, I've taken it out on that one individual, not the whole male poplution.
I'm confused as to why you feel like a lot of women think they're better than the entire male sex....? Is there a specific thread you're referring to?
I am basically the anti-feminist...I think the woman's "movement" did as much if not more harm to women and families as it helped...for one, women entering the work force brought inflation so it is no longer possible to easily live on 1 income forcing women who WANT to stay home and be a homemaker in to the work place...and so many kids in daycares...or alone...
so yes, I have seen sexism and man bashing here...
I am a man lover..love our differences!

I can say without a doubt that I know far too many men who have been messed with by horrible women.
My point wasn't that women AREN'T as bad as men. It was an answer to your question HK.
I think that there are probably as many pissed off men as there are women, because as many men that are a-holes out there, there's just as many women who are b****es.
I don't think I'm sexist either, I actually rather like men, some more specifically of course. I admit to being baffled a little bit by certain thought processes that seem to be more popular among men, but I think that's part of the appeal also.
I kind of like the hens/roosters analogy.
