Just wondering if anyone is having success with Alli? Pros? Cons? Anyone who is having success, what kind of things has it done for you? What sort of weight-loss?

Tried it. It didn't do a thing for me. I wasted my time & money.

I think Alli does work to some extent, but thats because you cant eat any greasy foods and follow their food guideline (so no treats). If you eat something greasy, you actually become sick to your stomach and your body quickly passes the food.

I have never tried it, but this is what I have heard and I think it even outlines this on the label! Personally, the fear of getting severe stomach cramps for eating something I shouldnt have is not worth it. You still have to count calories and exercise.

Anything that recommends that I wear dark-colored pants until I know how it affects me is not going in my body.

Hello side effects.

And yes I do know someone who experienced side effects, days after she had gone off the pills, and ruined a chair at work.

I used Alli with great success.  I had not been able to lose my last 10 lbs until I tried Alli.  If you watch your fat intake - you will not have any "treatment effects".  I really like this product.  If I gain a few pounds I take it again to get myself back.  I think if forces you to really, really think about what you are eating - and that was just what I needed.

Didn't work for me...  However, I couldn't take it as recommended b/c I would get bad cramping & I just don't eat much fat anyway.

Clinical trials for the prescription version has worked- but weight loss is slight with the OTC version, I'm sure it works if you follow directions. The horror stories you hear about occurs when one takes the product with say...  greasy pizza.  The product blocks the fat (and there's so much more in foods like that) and it moves on down the line just as it was on that pizza... I'll leave it at that.

Information on the alli website & start pack about eating right and exercising is spot on and if followed will result in a healthy body for pretty much anyone- regardless if you use their product.

I just started all this calorie counting business about 2-3 weeks ago, and started taking Alli about 10 days ago.  I have seen zero side effects.  Almost all of my meals are less than 15g of fat, but last night I had at least 30g of fat with dinner and had no side effects.

I've only lost two pounds in the last two weeks, but I think it's more so because my metabolism was so messed up before I started that it's taking some time to get on track.

I bought mine on ebay because it was at least $20 cheaper, even after shipping.

Most laxatives are alot cheaper!

I have been using Alli on & off for a few months and when you use it correctly, as suggested, it really does work. I did eat WAY more fat than I should have on occasion and while I didn't have a bad side effect in public, I was in the bathroom for most of the evening (you definitely don't want to pass gas while you're taking it unless you're in the bathroom because you never know). If you can deal with that, I would recommend it. I wasn't being very strict with my food for a while and I wasn't really losing weight, but I think it was helping me maintain. It also kept me regular - something I'm usually not. Another bad thing about it is that it's expensive so unless you commit to a diet plan, I wouldn't buy it because it won't be worth the price.

i used it earlier this year and it definately helped me lose and maintain 10lb weight loss...like the others said if you "don't" follow the guidelines and eat over the recommended amount of fat grams per meal you will experience side effects but i never had any bad experiences. also the only downside is the high cost, i think that is the only reason i haven't purchased the refill pack...
