alli...
Has anyone tried the diet pills alli? Does it work, or is it even worth it? I have not heard anything bad about them becides the cost, and the stomach pains it gives you in the begining. I want to try them, but I was wondering other people's thought on them.
Thanks :)
this forum is supposed to be about support...... its kinda funny really, that some people here can be so rude. This forum used to be so supportive.
Opinion'sare great too, but not if they miss-inform. Do you really think hundreds and thousands of people all over the world are having their pants fill with runny poo constantly with this diet aid?
On the alli website forums you have access to a nurtitionist / dietitian, who will answer all your questions, as well as a pharmacist and personal trainer. They are very kind and very truthfull about how to make the diet work for you. Its not different than CC here, exept there is a potent fat blocker pill involved.
come on and play nice!

Ummm....Hello, it is a listed side effect. I have personally known ladies to leave work because they **** their pants after eating a microwave burrito (or whatever) and taking alli. I think they even tell you not to wear white pants. It's not like we make this stuff up to be mean. The truth is so much more fun.
Even I can't be more rude than a pair of pants full of poo. Whatever makes you happy I guess. Poo away
I don't believe burritos are on the diet plan for watching your fat intake???
Maybe you didnt read my post earlier about how alli works, IF you dont put in excess fat, excess fat wont leave your body. Alli works in your small intestine, no other place, it blocks the reaborption of 25% fat.
You dont know what the ladies were eating all day, unless you have access to every single fat gram that enteredtheir mouth.... nobody wants to admit failure in self control, its easier to blame something else. PLUS,....... im sure you dont know this, but alli can stay in your system 24-72 hours, and even longer depending on your digestive motility. ... that means what you over ate 3 days can be appearing a later time.
You ( some posters on this link) have been making stuff up. Like the total fat allowed on the diet versus per meal..... and that if you take the pill you have "treatment effects" . Treatment effects are not having a bowel movement in your pants, that means you binged or over ate hidden fats, or counted wrong.
Its a listed side effect.. IF YOU EAT TOO MUCH FAT!
myalli.com its educational. its forums are good.
when I was a vegetarian a side affect was GAS!! and i had never had as bad gas, and gastrointestinal problems as I had as a vegetarian! now that diet messed with my system! but I'd never say all vegetarians fart all the time because all they eat is veggies like i did. - Its just being respectful, and tolerant to others choices.
im using it and have been for about three weeks and havent lost a pound, i havent gotten any side effects either so thats good. but im following everything right diet good exercise and still nothing. maybe its just me. really depressing. but thats my experience with it im gonna keep at it until i finish the bottle.
I took alli for 2 months and didn't lose a thing! I had no side effects, no weight loss, Nothing. I tried the prescription form, too, at 170.00 per bottle. Didn't lose an ounce. I've given up on diet pills, I learned a hard lesson and wasted a lot of money. They just don't work. Diet and exercise will get you the results you want eventually and you will learn to eat right and keep moving and that is the only way it will work. Don't waste your money. Good Luck!
I tried it when it first came out and didn't experience any bad effects, but also don't think it helped enough to be worth the money. I don't consume a lot of fat though, so probably wasn't designed for people like me. Now, if they had a decent sodium blocker...
alli works by preventing the absorption of some ingested fats into your body. So if you eat too much fat you will experience gas and loose stool, perhaps losing control of your bowels, perhaps not.
But let's get back to the basics: here on CC we learn to eat healthy, nutritious , well balanced meals.
There is no successful long term quick-fix weight loss.
If we want to lose weight, be healthy, feel good both physically and mentally we have to learn to eat correctly.
I have tried various diets in the past, incl. pills, incl alli - but nothing has truly worked. I have never reached my goal weight using any diet. What weight I did lose, I always gained back and a few more pounds extra on top!
I am learning to eat good healthy foods. They taste really good ... especially when you are not polluting your taste buds with too much junk. I no longer crave sugars and greasy foods. I'm not hungry at night watching TV. I'm really satisfied with the healthy food choices I've made.
I don't want to sound preachy, but after 4 months eating healthy, I finally have hope that this is the real deal, one that I can live with for the rest of my life.
I did lots of research on many natural diet supplements before I took one. When I saw Alli gave you 'uncontrollable bowel movements', I took a pass. That is disgusting! The one I did end up trying is all natural and stimulant free. It has a seaweed ingredient, cactus (appetite suppressant) and 3 other thermogenics. I've lost 30 lbs in 3 months. So I am very happy. I still have 30 lbs to go. A friend of mine was taking Alli and finally went off it after some embarassing incidents when she was at work. Yikes.

From your typing finger tips to the scientist's ears, skookum! But what the hell would the side effects of that be? Caution: Due to constant urination, catheter may be required. In extreme cases, when combined with Ali, colostomy bag also recommended.
LMAO!
